This was really bland, even after adding garlic and onion powder. I think it might be okay if you added some taco seasoning, and maybe another can of chili beans, but as it is written, I wouldn't make it again. I am not looking forward to eating the leftovers tomorrow.

This recipe is wonderful. So easy and my family loves it! I use the hot chili beans and mexican style tomato sauce to give it some extra kick.

my kids loved it..which is saying alot.i made red beans&rice &they would'nt eat it so i found this recipe & mix the two.they did'nt even know i had pulled a slight switch-a-roo.they even had seconds so i got rid of a majority of the red beans leftovers.no tomato sauce though i used salsa.

This recipe was a good base, but I felt it needed much more flavor. I added some salsa in the place of one can of tomato sauce, some garlic salt (next time I'll add some chopped garlic to the beef and onions), salt and pepper, and then a little more salsa. Next time I'll use taco sauce instead of the tomato sauce I think. . . Everyone seemed pleased with the end result.

This is quick, easy and tasty. Even my four-year-old loves it! You can use spicier chili beans if you like a bit more kick.
