My best friend gave me this recipe she was given while in British Guyana. You can substitute butter with margarine if the thought of a half pound of butter terrifies you :-) These are really delicious!

These rich and buttery breadsticks are a fun change from regular dinner rolls and are fairly easy to make. They're great alongside salads and soups. --Mitzi Sentiff, Greenville, North Carolina

Cream Scones

Scones are a kind of sweet biscuit. They are very common in the United Kingdom. Here is a pretty good recipe that I made after a lot of trial and error. These are quite easy. You can add a bit more sugar if you want. These taste awesome with grape or blackberry jelly!

Honey lends just a hint of sweetness to these light and tender dinner biscuits from Donna Jeffers of Petersburg, West Virginia (with her husband, Paul, right). 'Our friend Joan gave us this recipe, so when my husband or I make them, we always call them Joan's Biscuits,' Donna relates.

This dinner roll, slightly sweet and so very flaky, was my mother's recipe. It's a simple recipe to prepare, requiring no kneading skills, and the dough is easy to handle. My grandchildren have renamed them 'Grandma's Croissants'!

This very simple scone recipe has just three ingredients! It's great for beginners and those who don't feel like fiddling with more complex scone recipes. This type of scone recipe is quite common in Australia.
