I was glad I read the reviews/suggestions before hand. However, wish I would have remembered to put in the seasonings in earlier! Chicken was a little blan, but juicy. Sauce was great. I put 1 can cream of mushroom, 1 can cream of chicken, 1/2 cup sour cream (could have left out).. It was a little runnier then I would have liked, but letting it sit probably would have helped. I served over 3 cheese raviolis. It was great left overs, just put in a sauce pan and reheated it, was like a thick ravioli soup that pulled the chicken a bit apart for. Mmmm mmm good - made the cashew broccoli with it. Great easy dinner full of flavor and meets a balanced meal! I will add more seasons next time before I start cooking it.

Don't let the simplicity of this dish fool you...it is amazing!! I used cream of chicken soup instead of mushroom and added a few dashes of soy sauce and garlic salt as suggested by another reviewer. I served the chicken over a bed of baby spinach topped with spinach and cheese tortolini. I placed the chicken on top of the pasta and then covered topped it with the sauce. My son the picky eater could not get enough of this dish. The only thing I will do differently next time is to double the recipe!!!

Bone-in chicken gives it a better flavor, with dark meat falling off the bone. Cut the chicken to 10 pieces. With all this shredded meat in the mushroom gravy, WOW!!. Cook for 4 hours on low

I might try this again, but I would have to make some mods, as I found it pretty bland. Kids liked it, though!

LOVE THIS! I've been making this recipe for years, we LOVE it. It is delicious as written and it is delicious if you want to add various seasonings etc to change it up a bit. This is a foolproof recipe for a wonderful meal. A great base recipe.

Sooo delish and Sooo Easy! Made the sauce as listed, except added a splash of Sherry and 3 splashes of Soy. Put chix breasts in baking pan, sprinkled with onion salt, lemon pepper and Bacon salt. Wrapped each piece with bacon. Poured sauce over. Then added some very thinly shaved slices of fresh Parmesan cheese over each chicken piece. To finalize it, very lightly dusted some Paprika over the top (to give it color). Baked at 350 deg. F. for 45 min. Moist! Sauce was fabulous over rice! Hubby and sons lapped it up. Next time I will double the sauce. It was so easy and quick, thanks!

My family loved this. I did make a couple of changes, which is the reason for the 4 star rating instead of 5. After reading the reviews I did 2 cans of soup; one healthy choice cream of mushroom and one healthy choice cream of chicken and doubled the sour cream (and used light). Also wrapped the chicken in bacon to cook it and then at the end I pulled out the chicken and bacon, chopped it all up, and returned it to the crock pot while I boiled up some egg noodles, which I served the chicken and sauce over. Not the healthiest meal ever, but oh boy was it rich and yummy. My family loved it, will make again.

Although very easy recipe, we were disappointed with this one. As hubby said, "this is not a do-over". Followed recipe exactly, but found chicken to be bland and have to agree with other reviewers that the appearance was not terribly exciting.

I agree with another review earlier...difficult to look at. Perhaps some veggies w/ colors could be added at the at the last minute.

This is similar to a recipe my mom gave me for the oven, but you wrap the chicken in bacon and layer the bottom of the pan with dried beef. I bet chopping some dried beef and adding it to the sauce would make it even better!

Super easy and delicious! Made it as recipe says the first time, but the second time I did a can of the cream of mushroom chicken that Campbell's has now and wrapped the chicken in bacon strips and secured them with toothpicks and it was even BETTER! Served over rice, the sauce makes for a perfect topping!

decent recipe. very tender, but not too much 'zing' to the chicken. and i even seasoned the breasts with black pepper, garlic, and poultry seasoning. my hubby loved it but i thought it just so-so

This is easy to do and quick. I precooked the bacon to make it even easier. Didn't add the full cup of sour cream (thought it wasn't necessary). Turned out well. Thanks for the post.

I made this last night and we loved it. I put it together before my son's track meet, when we got home, it was done. Pre-cooked bacon that I crisped up in the microwave made it even easier. This one's a keeper!

We thought this was very good. The hubby thought it was 'delicious'. I used chicken thighs instead of breasts and I added a can of mushrooms. Dumb me, I forgot to put the bacon pieces on before serving!! I did add them the next night when we had leftovers. It made it even better. Leftovers were great!
