I just pulled this dish out of the oven and the rice and chicken were cooked perfectly! I forgot to mix in the poultry seasoning with the water/milk/rice mixture, but used it to season the chicken before I coating it with flour.

This was a good dish, but the chicken had no flavor. I always cook the way the recipe is. Then I will spice it up. My suggestion is to use spicy paprika or crushed chili pepper. But, I loved the rice. I used Basmati rice and mmmm that was good. Thank you for the recipe as it is now in my recipe book.

Very tasty. Although I didn't have poultry seasoning, lemon pepper seemed to do the job just fine. I'm sure it would make a taste difference, but I had this wild idea of adding pepper into the flour and using wild rice instead of white rice. I'll post back tomorrow and let you know about it. :)

my husband was not impressed at all! I checked it about 10 min before it was done and stirred the rice and sauce. I took it out after 10 minutes and tasted it. the rice was not cooked and still tough. I covered again and cooked another 15 minutes. Repeated the taste test again, and the rice was still tough. I cooked it another ten minutes and it wasn't improving much. We ended up just eating it but my husband said he doesnt want to have it again.

I made this 30 years ago but the recipe was a little different. I never browned the chicken either. I cramed as much of chicken as I could fit in. 6-8 pieces of chicken, bone in is o.k; 1 can cream of mushroom soup or celery, and a pkg; of dry onion soup mix. Add those to the milk mixture and cook it for about 1 1/2 hrs; I stirred the mixture a couple of times during baking so the rice would be done. Make sure the mixture goes to the top of the pan, if it doesn't add more water. Put a foil covered cookie sheet underkneath. I have 5 boys and they loved this. I fixed this twice a month. Very fast and delicious!!

This for me was awful, my guests that night said they really liked it, but I'm pretty sure it was only to be polite. The flavor was too bland for me. And at that temp, I found it took forever for the chicken to cook. After an hour and 10 mins I turned up the temp 25 degrees and overcooked it. And will not make it again... veggies added to this dish would really help!

This was delicious and so easy to make. I would suggest less pepper. And also I would recommend that when you take it out of the oven, stir the rice up and put back in the oven for another 5-8 minutes.

I really did not like this recipe, I couldn't get the rice to cook all of the way. I had a big package of chicken I wanted to make a big casserole with for left overs so I did double the recipe. I usually never fix a meal that doesn't have atleast 10 reviews. It just didn't have much flavor,all I tasted was milk. I measured everything correctly. I won't make this again sorry.
