I LOVE this chicken! I use a drier wine to balance out the sweetness of the brown sugar. If you don't like sweeter sauces you might not like this recipe as much as I do though--even using a drier wine won't make it a non-sweet sauce. The last time I made this I added a bit of fresh rosemary to the sauce as it was reducing. Love it!

I made it using a strawberry wine i had from the world market, i used splenda brown sugar and only used a little olive oil spray, i made it for my girlfriend and i and it really was great. Would of been better for an early relationship date meal.

I made this tonight and really enjoyed it quite a bit. Not only was it quite simple and quick to prepare, but it was one of the most tasty chicken dishes I've had in quite a long time. We served it with a caprese salad and seasoned couscous. The only fault with the chicken came from over measuring the brown sugar. This made it a bit too sweet for my taste but that is rectified easily enough next time...and there will DEFINITELY be a next time :)

I dont have any paprika so I had to leave out that ingredient. I usually make this with tenderloin but any cut of meat should work fine. There is a special place in Heaven for whoever made up this recipe. This has gotta be the best chicken I have ever ever had in my entire life. Family shares my sentiments.

I also added mushrooms and reduced the sugar. Will add onions and stock as a reader suggested.

Great recipe! I did follow other suggestions and sauteed some mushrooms and onions with garlic in olive oil first and then added it back in when the chicken was browned.

This was amazing. I usually have trouble with the monotony of eating the same dish for multiple meals, but I was thankful this recipe yielded so many servings. :)

I didn't even have to think about what to rate this. It was the best chicken I've ever had. I will be making this on a regular basis. I cut way back on the sugar and left the cover off to cook, as other reviewers suggested.

This was fabulous! I halved the brown sugar as others suggested but thought it could have used a tad more. I used smoked sweet paprika and merlot wine. Soooo good!

This dish is de-licious!! I've made it twice, Be careful w/the brown sugar b/c it can become too sweet. You can let the wine sauce reduce even further and toss the pasta in the left overs.

Not very flavorful...I think it would be better if you marinated it instead of adding the wine after already searing the chicken.

Following some of the previous reviews, I halved the brown sugar, paprika, and red wine, and I am glad that I did. This was a flavorful and easy to prepare dish. The sweet and salty are very well-balanced, and the wine adds a depth of flavor with very little effort.

I loved this recipe and so did my husband. I cooked it like they said, but added mushrooms, onion, and a ton of garlic just like other users. I also only added about 3 heaping tablespoons of the brown sugar and a lot more wine:). It came out really yummy and I actually made some extra of the sauce to give it a little more flavor. I paired it with garlic mashed potatoes. I will definatly make this again.

Cute recipe to 3 servings. Added garlic salt to chicken and sauce and 2 small cans of chopped portabella mushrooms to dish. Served over salt, peppered and buttered linguine. Wonderfully, unique and a good change. Will make again! Too spicy for 4 yr old - think paprika was to much for him. Hubby LOVED and raved about. I loved as well! Very interesting recipe!

This recipe is amazing! I've used several recipes from this website, but this is still my favorite. I took hints from the other reviewers and halved the brown sugar. All in all, it is still a wonderfully simple and tasty dish!
