This has become a family favorite! I added 2 crushed garlic cloves to the marinade. I also added chunks of Vidalia onion, as well as green & red peppers to the skewers. This recipe needs close monitoring as it cooks, but it's well worth the effort!

Putting bacon on the chicken kabobs is the best idea!! I had a cookout, and everybody loved them. I had already gone shopping so I used a store bought marinade on the chicken, and the bacon I used was thick cut, zesty-peppercorn bacon, rotated with red and green bell peppers and fresh pineapple. Very good!!!

These were excellent and they should have been with all the time involved. I used fresh pineapple, green and red peppers, and red and yellow onions. I followed the advise of others and marinaded the mushrooms separetly. I also used beef with the same marinade and it turned out great too!

This tasted exelent. Even my meat lover husband loved it. We used microwave bacon for all of you that said your bacon was limp. Also put green pepper on skewers. Will make again.

I have made these several times now. Everyone loved them. I also did away with the Shish Kabobs and just marinaded chicken (thighs or breast) and cooked on the George Forman. Turned out great. I also have gone on a low carb diet, so I elimated the honey and used splendia brown sugar. Turned out wonderful. Will use this recipe again and again. Thanks

We loved this recipe, especially my son. But only gave it four stars because you really need to precook the bacon. It does not get cooked enough for us on the grill. We also used reduced sodium soy sauce. Otherwise the flavors were great and we thoroughly enjoyed this meal.

Absolutely wonderful! The only change I made was to use turkey bacon which came out great. I also put the chicken-bacon wraps on separate skewers and added red pepper chunks with the veggies. It might be a little work but try this recipe...you won't be disappointed.

These were soo good! I didn't have canola oil so I used sesame oil. My husband said I should have cut back on the amount since sesame oil is so flavored, but they came out great. I also used apple cider vinegar because I didn't have regular. I marinated the chicken about 5 hours, and the veggies only about an hour (only because I had to go buy them!). I would recommend using regular bacon because there is no need to pre-cook. And I used the following veggies: green pepper, white onion, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, and of course pineapple. I skewered the veggies separate from the meat since they cook for less time. Delicious!

I make this at least once a week now, it is my new favorite marinade. The only thing i do differently is add 1/2 purple onion chopped, and a few cloves of crushed garlic to the marinade for extra flavor. I'll make the kabobs if i'm feeling ambitious but i usually just throw some breasts in the marinade in the morning. The longer you marinate the better it gets!! Thanks this one is a keeper!

I was scared the chicken wouldn't cook, being wrapped up inside bacon, so I I overcooked them. they still tasted good, I would just leave out the bacon next time.

Absolutely delicious!!!! I made these for dinner and the only reason the recipe does not get 5 stars is because the recipe calls for canned pineapple; if fresh were used, it would be 5 stars hands down. The only change I made to the marinade was to add 2 large cloves of garlic and I marinated the chicken/mushrooms for about 8 hours, but overnight would be better. I did follow the advice of another reviewer and used regular bacon (as opposed to thick-cut) and I boiled it for 5 minutes first. I then cut each slice into thirds and wrapped my chicken with it. This was so good...we can't wait to have it again.

I marinated the chicken for a couple of days, makes it very tender. Also added minced garlic cloves. The sauce is also great for marinated salmon.
