Delicious and tender! I used turkey bacon and my whole family was thrilled about the flavor.

Just okay - even though I used turkey bacon and not regular, I'm not sure the regular would've made that much difference. A little bland, however, the bacon did keep the chicken moist.

This was so good even my kids ate it! There were no left overs!! I added shrimp with it and marinated it all together in a bottled asian marinade. Awesome recipe.

Great with the tomatoes and mushrooms. Run of the mill and kind of boring with the chicken...

Served these at a family get-together and they went like hotcakes! I tasted the marinade before I poured it over the chicken and mushrooms and wasn't so sure but I was pleasantly surprised! I doubled the marinade and marinated the chicken and mushrooms in separate bags for 3 hours. I also pre-baked 1/2 the bacon and left the other half raw...it made no difference in the end result (except that the raw bacon was easy to wrap). Awesome recipe, thanks!

Delicious!! Definitely a keeper at my house. The only thing I did different was use Balsamic Vinegar vs. Apple Cider (didn't have any), and I also added some fresh chopped garlic. Marinated 8 hours, grilled, perfecto!!!

I was surprised to read a review saying this recipe was forgettable. I made it just as is and my family and frinds loved it! I ran out of time and couldn't let it marinate as long as the recipe recommended and they still said it was great!

I REALLY wanted to love this recipe, and I was so excited to make it~~what a disappointment. Frankly, I'm mystified by all the rave reviews. I followed the marinade recipe to the letter and used some of the method tips from other reviewers: doubled the marinade; marinated chicken and mushrooms separately and overnight to insure flavorful chicken (or so I'd hoped); used regular bacon for balanced barbecuing; cooked on medium heat to avoid dryness. My result~~delicious mushrooms, but the chicken, while tender, was totally devoid of flavor. Even the bacon flavor was missing. If I use this again (and at this point, that's a big "if"), I'll definitely follow the advice of others and add garlic and possibly ginger to the marinade. Also, the recipe cries out for fresh pineapple; the canned pineapple chunks ended up shriveled and puny and were practically an unnoticeable addition. Unfortunately, my guests and I found this recipe rather forgettable.

This bbq chicken was very tasty with an asian flair. I did make a few changes. I used rice vinegar instead of cider vinegar. I did not make kebobs but grilled chicken breasts halved. Served it with teriyaki rice and broccoli/snow pea pod stir fried vegetables.

Wonderful! Will definitely make again. I didn't use bacon, but instead added sausage to the shish kabobs. I had to make tons of extra marinade because I was feeding eight people, but still I think that the little. Also, I marinated onions and peppers and I kept the meat and veggies separate while marinating and cooking. This recipe is a winner!

Fan-freaking-tastic! This is a great teriyaki-style marinade. We also grilled the veggies separately and doubled the marinade, reserving a few tablespoons for brushing over the meat after it came off the grill. We added some garlic & ginger powders as well. The only change I'd make is to marinate the chicken for 3 or so hours.

This marinade is GREAT! I loved the mushrooms. The bacon wasn't as crispy as I expected, but I broiled in the oven so that may be why.

We LOVE these! Made them last week and again today. I took the advice of another person and boiled the bacon for a few minutes (and I used thick bacon btw). I didn't have a grease fire and the chicken got at the same time as the chicken on the grill. EXCELLENT!!!!
