I made this for company this evening and everyone raved how delicious and moist the chicken was and what a great flavor the bacon added! Along with the pineapple and mushrooms, I added some red pepper and red onion chunks. I also let the chicken and mushrooms marinate all day and I doubled the marinade as well. I put it all together before the guests arrived. Will definitely be a keeper!

Can't really give this a proper rating because I didn't use the bacon, but I followed everything else exactly for the chicken and the cider vinegar overpowered everything else. If I make again, I would cut down the vinegar by half, or maybe even eliminate it.. Maybe it was the bacon that would have complimented that taste.

These were wonderful! This is now our families favorite marinade for kabobs. I followed the recipe just as stated except I left out the green onion only because my husband does not care for that flavor. I used maple curried bacon to add a little sweetness to the chicken and it was a big hit!

made as directed, and marinated for 2 hours, this didn't seem to have as much flavor as hoped.

I made this with boneless pork chops instead of chicken because that's what I had on hand. Also, I used yellow and red bell peppers and red onion as my vegetables (again, that's what I had in the fridge.) My family LOVED it! The marinade is delicious and the bacon really adds to the flavor. Thanks for a great recipe - I will be making this again very soon!

Great flavor. I made exactly as stated with no changes. I took the bacon off of my chicken (did not want the fat) as it left a wonderful taste to the chicken. Next time I will make with different veggies!

This is great!! My first time Shish Kabob. I tripled recipe and half of marinade sauce for basting. Also I used Green Pepper and Onion to go with it. All my friends loved it and nothing left. This was hit!! I'll definitely make again.

Fantastic recipe! Everyone loves it. Easy to make and alter for special diets. We double the recipe and substitute 1 lb of chicken for shrimp. We always use fresh pineapple and maple smoked bacon (regular cut, not thick. It cooks better). Everyone loves the maple flavor with the chicken!

Delicious! I only had time to marinade them for an hour before grilling and they tasted great. I can't wait to try them again after marinating them longer. I used fresh pineapple and regular bacon and they were perfect. Made the recipe exactly as it directed and me and my honey loved them. The chicken was tender and juicy, the bacon slightly crispy, and the flavor... Oh my. A must try recipe. Thank you Angie.

These Kabobs were wonderful. The chicken was very tender; mushrooms and pineapple were great. I wanted to keep mine lean so I didn't use any bacon. I also used a Foreman grill instead of outdoor grill.

Yummy - my whole family loved this recipe. I made it exactly as the recipe stated with no changes. We thought the carmelized pineapple really made the kebobs "pop" with flavor. Definitely will make this one again. Only change will be to precook the bacon so that it is more crispy.

This was good. I did not use mushrooms. I think the only changes I would make next time would be to use fresh pineapple and to take some of the marinade prior to adding the chicken and cooking it down to make a glaze. And then use the glaze to baste the chicken in while cooking. I also didn't wrap the chicken with the bacon. Instead I threaded it like a ribbon around the bacon and pineapple. The bacon never got crispy but it was still good.

This was a very tasty recipe. My whole family including our dinner guest really enjoyed it. It was very easy without a whole lot of ingredients. It was something we were able to put together in a short period of time. We added green peppers and onions to ours and it turned out delicious. Letting it marinade for 4 or more hours helps it absorb the flavor more.
