Boyfriend said he could order this in a restaurant! Based on reviews, I did add tons of spices to the bread crumbs before rolling the chicken so it wouldnt be bland- garlic and onion powder, curry, cumin, pepper. I sautéd garlic, onion, and half the mushrooms in the butter then added the chicken to brown. I decided not to add the cheese, because it looked so good without it and it didn't seem necessary or that it would add anything. I felt like a real chef with this one when it came out looking succulent...

This was really good. I did add cream of mushroom soup to the chicken broth and I nused provolone cheese because it is what I had on hand. I also sauted the mushrooms before adding to the dish. I served it over brown rice. It was yummy. Even my 3 year old liked it.

I've made this dish several times and it has always turned out amazing. I'm a college student without too much time to cook, yet this is an easy dish to make up. I made it for my family the last time I was home and they wouldn't stop raving about it. I did like others suggested and sauteed the mushrooms before and waited until the last few minutes to add the cheese.

It had too much of a mushroom taste. You MUST love mushrooms for this dish. It came out good tho. I will make it again, just not anytime soon. :)

I thought this recipe was okay. There really wasn't that much flavor to it. I added a can of cream of mushroom like others suggested and that helped a little bit. I also sauted the mushrooms with some garlic before. I wish there was more of a thickened "sauce." I served with egg noodles. I may try and redo this recipe again!

My husband and I LOVED this. The only things I changed were the mushrooms which I sauteed in Worcestershire sauce, butter and cooking sherry. I also used chicken tenders instead of breasts. I also used Italian bread crumbs for the breading. I had no problem with it being bland, dry or anything. YUMMY is more like it!!!

Everyone loved this. I wish I had the full 3 cups of mushrooms to have added. Since I did not I added carrots in the bottom and topped with mushooms. The chicken was nice and moist. Next time I will make sure I have enough mushrooms. I will also add more of an assortment of veggies.

As suggested by others, I added one can of Cream of Mushroom with Roasted Garlic. I also sautéed some chopped onion, and then added the mushrooms. I think the onions were a nice balance between the mushrooms and chicken. Easy and delicious ! Oh, and if it is bland (as others have said), make sure you season it VERY well. It needed a lot of salt !

SO delicious! Like other reviewers, I used cream of mushroom soup and sauteed the mushrooms with some garlic before adding them to the casserole. I used shittake mushrooms and they came out great. I served with white rice that I had cooked with chicken stock instead of water. To die for!

I'm now a fan of this site, I cooked this last night really not expecting it to turn out ok. WOW after I finished everything it turned out EXCELLANT!¡!¡!¡ sometimes I run out of ideas to cook and I desired to check this site out and I'm so glad I did my daughter is a very picky eater she also loved it! I will deffinatly be cooking this one again I also added a little cream of mushroom!!!

This turned out really well, but would have been a bit bland without some modifications. 5 stars with these simple changes: sautee mushrooms in olive oil with fresh garlic (I used 1 clove, minced)and just add a little garlic powder and black pepper to the bread crumbs. I also sprinkled a little parsley over everything before putting in oven just for an extra flavor boost. This had great flavor, will make again. Thank you :)

This is my first rating, and this recipe is worth it! I took the advice of the other reviewers, which was excellent, and added the cream of mushroom soup. I also added some italian spices and pepper to the bread crumbs. The chicken was moist and delicious, and the mushrooms were great (after I sauteed them in garlic and olive oil). This is saved to my recipe box, and I will be happy to make again!

This was pretty good. I made the following changes: - added one onion chopped in large pieces and 1 clove garlic to mushrooms and sauteed briefly. Used panko for crust. Added one can low-fat chicken soup. It was a hit! - mushrooms

i did everything on this recipe except add cheese. i dont really like cheese but i dont think it had any effect on the taste because it was DELICIOUS!!!! it was so moist and flavorful. not too salty at all. my friend liked it too and i consider her picky! i dont think u need to pan fry the mushrooms, theres a nice bite to it when u cook it in the oven. leaving out the cheese and cream of mushroom like many suggested saved me a lot of calories too! yummmm!!
