This was very tasty!! The only thing that I added was salt and pepper, and a little bit of seasoning salt. Everyone loved it!

I took the advice from others and used only the chicken broth and no water, it made the difference. We used a precooked chicken from the store and shredded it indtead of the cubed chicken. Also because we like spice we added a serrano chile.

This is a really good recipe with a few changes: increase garlic to 1-2 cloves, 3 cans chicken broth, 1/2 fresh diced tomato instead of canned, 1 can corn, add dash of paprika and extra dash of chili powder. I also used a rotisserie chicken and shredded the chicken with my hands. Cook onion and garlic with a little olive oil until onion is soft. Boil broth with tomato, chicken, chili powder, cumin, paprika and corn. Add onion/garlic mixture, reduce heat and simmer until you're ready to eat. I left out the cornstarch as I like the broth and the tortilla chips soak some up. I also didn't have any cilantro, I will try that next time. I may also try a cup or so of black beans or brown rice.

Delicious and Hearty soup on cold nights. I made a few alterations: 3 cans chicken broth, 1 clove of garlic, 1 shallot (in place of onion) sauté them in a pat of butter, 1 whole grocery store rotisserie chicken (deskinned/ deboned shredded), 1 can regular diced tomatoes, 1 can of whole kernel corn (drained). I used the same spices as the recipe maybe a little extra. This had my house smelling wonderful. Takes no time to cook and I served it in a bowl with crushed tortilla chips topped with shredded cheese (extra of course). Next time I may add 1 extra can of corn. This is a great meal to share with family and friends especially children.

I love this recipe! I added a can of corn and chopped zucchini. Also I cut up corn tortillas in strips and fried them to put on top. I couldn't have found a better recipe! Thanks

So easy and good. Had leftover cooked chicken that I needed to use and was only making 2 servings so just chopped a fresh tomato and added extra seasonings, oregano, coriander, and more garlic. Instead of using cornstarch to thicken the soup, I stirred in sour cream and ladled it over crushed tortilla chips. I also added the fresh cilantro to the soup as it was simmering so the flavor was distributed throughout. I'll make this soup again soon!

Good & super easy. A fast, tasty, healthy dinner on busy nights. I added a can of corn & cooked longer than suggested. It was thinner than I like but crushed tortilla chips added to the bottom of the bowl thicken it.

This soup is delicious! The kids and I loved it, our friend asked for more! I used sharp cheddar, 'cuz that's what I had, and it still tasted great! I added this Mexican hot sauce called Pico Pica and that just topped it off. Thank you!!!

Not bad, but lacking some "WOW". I made this recipe exactly as directed. I also added a small can of diced chile peppers, and still it seemed somewhat bland to me. Afterward, my wife suggested it could benefit from some added wild rice (which would significantly lengthen cooking time) and I agreed. However, it still seemed to be missing "something" with that ZING that I look for in a southwestern dish. Otherwise, very quick and easy.

This is sooo easy & good! I threw this together using leftover turkey and had it ready to simmer in a matter of minutes & had all the ingredients on hand. My family prefers flour tortillas so I crisped them up in hot oil and crumbled them in the soup. This will stay in my Monday soup rotation for sure. Thanks for sharing a quick & easy soup.

My family loved this. I only added about 1/2 an onion, and did not add cumin or cilantro (didn't have those on hand). I also cooked a cup of brown rice and added it to the soup. Crumbled tortilla chips made the soup even better.

Very good soup. I added a dash of Green Tabasco sauce and a little more chicken broth to stretch out the soup a little.
