Original recipe makes 8 burgers Change Servings

Directions

  1. Prepare tartar sauce by stirring together mayonnaise, relish, hot sauce, garlic, and lime juice in a small bowl. Cover and refrigerate at least 20 minutes.
  2. Prepare chicken burgers by mixing together green pepper, red pepper, cilantro, onion, garlic, hot sauce, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix in chicken using your hands until well blended, then sprinkle on bread crumbs, and continue mixing until incorporated. Divide the meat into 8 portions, and flatten to make patties.
  3. Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat and lightly oil grate.
  4. Cook patties on preheated grill until no longer pink in the center, about 5 minutes per side. Assemble burgers by spreading the cut sides of the hamburger buns with tartar sauce, adding a chicken patty, and topping with a piece of lettuce. Voila! You have a tasty Chicken Tartar Burger.

This was a tasty recipe. I cooked it on the stove top and it turned out fine. I think ranch dressing would be good on this too.

Didn't like this recipe at all. Maybe I just couldn't get past the ground chicken though. Will not make again.

This was yummy. The burger has a softer more meatloaf texture due to the addition of the crumbs (I used panko), so you do need to toast the bun to get some crunch in this. The peppers and cilantro in the burger tasted good as well as were very pretty.

Loved the burgers, I added about 1/2 cup of dried onion rings which added some flavor for sure.

This was awesome! My husband put some heavily oiled aluminum foil on the grill so that they wouldn't fall through the grates. We couldn't believe how wonderful this dish was. so easy and so gourmet. My husband raved and raved.
