We really liked this. It rivals our local Greek restaurant souvlaki!

OPA! So yummy. A lot of food per serving. We made two recipes for 12 people and only ran out of pitas. The cucumber sauce was tasty tasty.

The chicken was great. I baked just as some other's suggested since it was not grilling weather. The yogurt sauce was good, but I've had better. Not sure what to change. Maybe a little less sour cream. Instead of pita, I served with a greek salad and some sour dough bread. I put some raw veggies on the side to dip in the sauce which was a hit also. It was good for a buffet type party.

Very easy and delicious! I only marinated the chicken for about 20 minutes and grilled it. It still had lots of flavor. The sauce is wonderful - really makes the dish. I found the thick, soft pitas at the regular grocery store and couldn't imagine using the thinner, drier pitas. The soft pitas fold around and hold in the fillings and taste much better.

This recipe was excellent!!! Super easy and super budget friendly!! I was able to find already chopped up chicken so it saved me a step..YUMMY!! Now that i'm on a low calorie diet..I used Fat Free sour cream, Fat free yougurt, and put the filling in a low fat wrap....figure friendly...still just as good!!!

just got back from turkey and dreaming of doner kebaps. This was pretty good but nothing beats the original. Things I'll change: sauce - I pureed in blender. I will use greek yogurt and omit the 1/2 cucumber with centers in favor of a full cucumber without middles. I marinated for 40 min and baked for 30 in foil, removed juice and baked for additional 7. meat was very juicy. Cut into thin strips and served with pitas or rice. it was all gone!

Really good! Just like the Greek pita place down the street. All I would change next time is to grind the Greek seasoning with a mortar & pestle so its not crunchy/spiny in the tzatziki sauce. I put the chicken on the pita bread, folded it in half & put it on a George Foreman for a few minutes instead of grilling the bread. Added sauce/veggies after so theres a nice mixture of hot and cold. Delicious!

I thought this was fantastic. Quick tip on using nonfat yogurt - drain with cheese cloth draped over a colander for 4 hours. This makes a very thick and rich yogurt.

After goin to Greece on vacation, my husband and I craved good Greek food. This marinade is amazing! However, I did make some significant changes. First I cooked my chicken in the crock pot for three hours (started frozen)then shred it and returned it to the marinade juices. Trust me, this is amazing! I also prefer the Tzatziki sauce by CAYCE. Thanks so much for this recipe, we make it whenever we have a craving for Greek!

This was good "all together" - but the chicken surprisingly lacked a bit of flavor despite 3+ hours of marinating. I ended up having to season the chicken after grilling it because it was a bit bland. I have my own tzatziki recipe and used that instead of the one listed. Once assembled into a sandwich with the sauce, tomato, red onion, kalamata olives and feta - it was delicious - but certainly not outstanding. I used a homemade balsamic dressing made with 1/2 c. balsamic vinegar, 1/2 c. olive oil, thyme, oregano, and salt/pepper to taste (next time I will add garlic).

We use this recipe often. The kids are not as into Greek as we are so we use regular taco shells and regular cheese on theirs. I use the pampered chef greek season and love it. We also add olives and will use the left over meat in salads. Very tasty recipe.

This had fantastic flavor and really hit spot. Reminded me of my husband and I's favorite college Pita haunt. As to the people confused by the recipe's chicken marinade make sure you are using a balsamic vinegrette as specified instead of straight balsamic vinegar, 2 TOTALLY different things. Vinegrette is a salad dressing made with equal parts or slightly more Olive Oil to balsamic in addition to garlic, herbs, etc.. The recipe is just fine as written! Thank you for the walk down memory lane!

This is a fantastic recipe! We really enjoy a great local greek restaurant, but with 5 mouths to feed, going out gets expensive. This is as close to the real greek restaurant as you can get. Thanks so much for sharing. Followed exacctly as recipe reads and making tonight for the 3rd time! Delicious!

My husband asked me to make this. I had no idea how. Thank you very much. I was really good. I made the marinade and put it into the slow cooker. Very tender and delicious meat. I won't make it often, but I will from time to time.
