1 1/4 cups
1 (6 ounce) package
quick-cooking stuffing mix (such as Stove Top®)
1 (20 ounce) can
1 (16 ounce) package
skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, cut into bite-size pieces
shredded Swiss cheese
shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 (16 ounce) bottle
French salad dressing, or to taste
I decided to make this recipe because it seemed simple and different from my usual selections. I made it as written with only two exceptions. I couldn't find a 20 ounce jar or can of sauerkraut so I used a 14.5 can of sauerkraut instead. Also, I had to cook it longer than 25 minutes. My oven usually cooks fast so I was disappointed it took longer than planned. My husband rated it an 8 or 9 out of 10, but said it was not something to put on a regular rotation. I ate it, but I'm not inclined to make it again. My five year old daughter liked it. I think it is okay if you are looking for something different. I must disclose that I don't like Reuben sandwiches either so this is not a big winner in my book.
