DELICIOUS! Taking other reviewer's suggestions I also made a few changes - Added potato instead of celery, brushed the bottom of the crust w/an egg white (pre-baked it on 350 for about 6 min), cooked the veggies & chicken in chicken broth (I actually didn't have any extra on hand and only had a beef bouillon cube which surprisingly worked out perfectly) Also added 1/4 c extra of broth and 1/4 c of milk to the mixture (for the dryness everyone mentioned) I felt like I made so many mistakes (my pie crust had holes in it so I had to fix it, my mixture overfilled the crust) Baked it on 375 for 40 mins. And it all turned out so YUMMY in the end, I was pleasantly surprised, the flavor is wonderful! I will definitely be making this again!!

Really delish! Followed all the suggestions about cooking the veggies and chicken in the broth. Left out the celery - added diced potatoes.

Thank you SO MUCH for this recipe. I'm just barely learning to cook for my family and this is my first time making pot pie. And it turned out perfectly! I substituted 1/2 tsp celery salt for the celery seed and salt because I didn't have celery seed. It still turned out great!

This is so good! I made it as is, except, I cooked the chicken and veggies in chicken stock instead of water. This is a definite keeper!

This is a staple in our house. Make sure to make enough sauce. I ended up using more chicken last time then usual and the pie ended up dry. Next time I'll make 1 1/2 batches of sauce, its delicious!

My modifications were as follows: I increased cream ingredient by half and added ffresh porta bella mushrooms. I boiled chicken and vegetables in chicken broth instead of water. I made individual pies in mini loaf size pans. brushed bottom crust with egg and baked for 5 minnutes then filled. brushed top of crust with egg also. This was the BEST Chicken pot pie we ever had. I will definately use this recipe again. I wont be experimenting with any other pot pie recipes because it just can't get any better then this.

I made this on a whim just needing something different to do with chicken and it turned out wonderful. I did make double the sauce and used most of it. I also used an egg white wash and baked the bottom pie crust for about 5 minutes (on the advice of other users). I will be making this in the near future.

I've made this recipe over and over again. Really easy and full of flavor. I used broccoli instead of peas. I also used skim milk and it comes out terrific! Great meal for a cold winter's night.

Really good, I increased the liquid per other reviewers, sauteed chicken first, then veggies. I had a box of frozen peas with pearl onions. I added cheese to the sauce. 15 year old loved it. Thanks.

i didnt have any chicken so i added a bit more vegetables than it called for and i added two small potatoes and a bit of minced garlic (which i add to everything anyways) and it was amazing! nothing would have made it more perfect for a cold day. it was my first time making a pot pie and i see no need to find another recipe. the gravy mixture would be perfect over biscuits as well! thank you for such an amazing recipe!

This was very good. Of course we all make changes, but all I did was swap a potato for the peas and I baked my chicken breast instead of boiling it with the veggies. I poked the bottom crust and pre baked it 7 minutes per another review. Crust was not soggy at all. Definitely a keeper.

excellent! i doubled the sauce and sauteed the chicken/veggies with garlic and onions before adding the chicken broth then drained it. I love garlic so this was a nice touch! I used Bisquick on top of the filling instead of a pie crust (and didn't use one on the bottom) which came out well! I also used poultry seasoning and added extra salt to taste per other reviews. Everyone loved it! Only dilemma is that the chicken was a little too dry - wondering how to make it moist and plump!

One of our absolute favorites (and I don't like chicken) and a crowd pleaser. Everyone asks for the recipe. I have added potatoes, which is also very good but changes the flavor. I prefer the recipe as is. I find the normal pie dish too small, so I save the large tins from Costco pot pies. I roll the pie crust a little larger to fit.

Absoultely a keeper - follow other users suggestions to prebake the bottom pie crust with an egg wash and top the pot pie with Cream of Chicken soup before adding the top crust. Awesome.

Very good stuff!! I am a 30 something and this is the FIRST time I have made a pot pie from scratch. It was very good, and I plan on making it this way from here on out. I did add a few frozen green beans to mine and used a whole rotisserie chicken and got 2 VERY full pot pies out of it. GREAT recipe, Robbie. Thanks for sharing!

Recipe says it is 8 servings, but if you have men or hungry teens it's more like 4 servings. Next time I'll double it and make 2 pies or make more hearty sides. I left out the celery and celery seed because my family doesn't like them and it was scrumptious!
