A very easy restaurant style dish. Ive tried other chicken parm dishes and this seems to be the one that has hit the spot. Ive made some minor changes of course as everyone does. You need to add your personal touch. I use parmesan bread crumbs. I also top the chicken with some fresh basil and tyme before baking. I dont bake the chicken with the sauce, I wait 40 minutes until the chicken is crisp and then pull out the baking sheet and put a little bit of sauce under neath each filet. I find that this doesnt make the chicken soggy. I top the chicken with some homemade sauce, which is just mashed tomatoes, basil, garlic and some pesto. I top that with freshly grated parmigiana and mozzarella and bake until the cheese is brown on top. Wow is this tasty. I then serve it with some fine angel hair pasta and a lasagna roll. What a meal!

This was fantastic! I herbed the bread crumbs and added about 2 tblspns of garlic powder also because we LOVE our garlic. I cooked them on a airated cookie tray to make them extra crispy and then transfered to a baking dish for saucing etc. I also used chicken thighs (no bone) instead of breast and it was much more tender if you use thighs decrese the first cooking time by 15 mins.

I pounded the chicken to flatten it first. Added onion and garlic powder to bread crumbs. Only covered the top with sauce after it was done. Also tried it with veal -- baking it with the chicken was fine, but could have gone for less time because the veal's thinner.

This was just so tasty! I didn't have any sauce on hand, so I made my own and it was incredible: 1 diced red onion, caramelized in a little x virgin olive oil until golden and almost creamy 1 clove garlic, added to onion last couple minutes of cooking 1 can whole tomatoes (I took them out of the liquid and crushed them into the pot with my hand.) a big pinch dried basil and oregano sea salt and fresh pepper I pounded the chicken flat (it's so tender and evenly seasoned this way, plus it cooks more evenly.) I used a small cast iron skillet and pounded the chicken between sheets of plastic wrap until it was a very big, thin piece. I dredged the chicken breasts in egg thinned a bit with milk (sometimes just straight egg can give you a coating of solid egg between the breadcrumbs- this way it breaks up the proteins a bit.) Then I dipped the chicken in italian style seasoned breadcrumbs with parmesan cheese. I fried the chicken in a bit of olive oil and butter until golden and crispy (remember the chicken is pounded thin so this took no time) spooned on some of my homemade sauce, topped with mozzarella and parm, and broiled until the cheese was melted. It was quick, crispy, juicy, and succulent. Everyone loved it. Next time I want to add fresh mushrooms to the sauce and try this on a bun. YUM.

Excellent recipe. I used breadcrumbs the first time, added my favorite seasonings and fried them in a bit of olive oil before baking for about 15 mins. I baked at 375 and the chicken was very juicy and moist. Second time I used panko bread crumbs (seasoned again) and fried in olive oil once again. Loved the Panko crumbs. Delicious recipe and has become a family favorite. Thanks for sharing

SOOOOO great. I've been making this exact recipe for 2 years for my husband. He loves it very much. This was the first 'real meal' I ever learned how to cook. It's right up there with the Garlic-Lemon Double Stuffed Chicken recipe on here.

This recipe is very easy and very good. We added garlic and herbed flavored crackers instead of regular bread crumbs and could tell a difference. I will definitely use this recipe again.
