This is absolutely DELICIOUS!!! It takes a lot of time doing all the prepwork, but it is SO worth it! I had leftover rotisserie chicken and used it. I had no savory seasoning, but on a whim tossed some Herbs de Provence in with the sauteeing veggies. PURE MAGIC! Seriously, give it a try!

Great meal! My kids loved it - and there were NO leftovers! I added corn and green beans, and crushed up Saltines with melted butter to go on top. It was fantastic!

Another reviewer described this as thick creamy chicken noodle soup. Perfect description! Nice warm homey meal for a rainy evening at home. No strong flavors at all. Some may call it bland but I call it homey. Tasted good to 3 tired adults. When the kids are here, I may jazz it up with more pepper, garlic, and savory, and would consider bread crumbs on top.

Used oregano and basil instead of savory. Rotini for the pasta. Cooked chicken. Really good. Added to regular menu rotation.

My family loved this recipe! It will become a staple in our house. I made a few changes because i have a house full of picky eaters. They do not like chunks of celery in anything they eat but i enjoy the flavor so i diced the onions and the celery together and sauteed them together with the garlic. And like other reviewers i did not have dried savory so i used Italian seasoning instead. This recipe is a little more time consuming then 20 mins of prep. I would say it is closer to a half hour but it is worth it.

Needs something. Didn't have dried savory but tried Italian seasoning. Tastes like just thickened chicken noodle soup. Needs something to perk it up.

I omitted the milk and used cream of mushroom soup for extra flavor. It was delightful.

I didn't have any savory so I left that out, or enough cheddar, so I added parmezan cheese Instead, this was a nice change, and I loved you didn't have to add canned soup. Yum!
