This tasted like a good chicken noodle soup in a casserole form. It tasted healthy but good! It was quite soupy at first so I put it in the refrigerator to eat the following night. It came out perfectly and my picky husband loved it!

Good, solid comfort food. Next time I make it, I will marinate the chicken for a little extra flavor. Worth the time and effort. For those worried about the dishes, I boiled the noodles first, drained them and set them aside, then made the chicken and veggie mixture in the same pot. That way I only used one big pot, one small saucepan, and the casserole dish.

This tasted all right; considering the amount of work it took to make, it should have been fantastic, but was only "meh." The same sort of flavor and comfort can be gained from chicken noodle soup, which is less fussy to make.

Good Minnesota Casserole. Just good home cooking. I have to say that I "appreciate" finally someone giving us what a serving is in a recipe. Now I know that I can have 1 cup for a serving for 343 calories. Usually it say 8 serving and 200 calories but how much is a serving. Thank you so much for this. Please, when you put on recipes, tell us what a serving is; 1/2 cup, 1 cup, 2 cups, etc. Thank you.

I wouldn't exactly call this 'quick'. Once everything is prepped, then yes. The cooking portion is easy, although messy because you have to use so many pans. The end result was well worth it, though. My 9 year-old ate two helpings! That never happens! I'll make it again, but I'll be better prepared. And, P.S., if you don't have Savory, use thyme. It's comparable.

Very good. I added a can of cream of chicken soup before I put it in the oven- just for extra creaminess.... (is that a word?) lol Next time I may add a can or corn. YUM

This casserole was sooooo good. I added uncooked noodles along with the veggies so they all cooked in the same pot - fewer dishes to wash! And I didn't have savory so I added a blend of pork seasoning. Mmm. My husband took one bite and decided it should be on the make again list.

I followed the recipe except for substituting the savory for Italian seasoning (like other reviewers) and white pepper for black. It was a little dry on top but the inside turned out good. Try and do the dishes as you finish with them - because there a lot of them. I liked it, my husband liked it; my 4 yr old & 16 month old didn't. I'll make it again for a large crowd.

Absolutely the best!! I used just one pot and a casserole dish. I cooked the veggies in teh butter and oil then added flour then added the liquids. I let it simmer for a little while to finish cooking the veggies. Then i added the chicken(it was precooked and shredded). After teh cheese was added i dumped it into the casserole dish, did a liitle rinse then cooked the noodles in teh same pot and added it to the casserole. Topped it with a little extra cheese. Will make all the time!! I also just used poulty seasining in place of the savory and i also added about 2 cups of frozen mixed veggies to it while it was simmering on the stove. My kids are tearing this up as i type!!

Only changes I made was to use thyme instead of savory (because I don't have savory). I did add raw broccoli and cauliflower to the casserole right before I put it in the oven. Very good recipe but a lot of clean up. Will make again.

First bite my husband said "you will have to make this again!" We really enjoyed it. A little bit of work but well worth it. I added Italian seasoning, fresh parsley and omitted the savory. Thanks for the recipe.

It was just okay. I didn't know what savory was, and that might have made it just taste okay. I should have put in a different spice, but all that being said, I just wasn't too crazy about it. My neighbors loved it though so maybe it's just me. I dunno.

This is truly comfort food...my family really liked this dish. It has a warm, comforting, homey flavor that I loved. It did require a little extra time to put together, because everything is from scratch, but the end result is worth it. Not only is it healthier because there are no prepared convenience items, but the taste is better. The only change I made was to substitute dried ground rosemary for the savory, because that was what I had on hand, and I prefer the taste. This is the recipe I will turn to on a cold winter night when comfort food is needed! Thanks!

My 10yr old not only had seconds, but also had some for lunch the next day and asked when I would be making this again. Were not a big casserole family but this one was so flavorful. I too added a bread crumb topping and extra garlic. Thanks for a great recipe!!
