Whole family did not like this. Added a bag of broccoli since the recipe didnt seem to have enough substance to it, im glad i did or it would have been inedible. Will not be making this again. Sorry.

I'm trying the recipe tonight. It looks great even before I put it in the oven. I added frozen stir fry veggies. We'll see how it is!

This was ok. I read the other reviews and instead boiling my chicken I cooked it in a skillet and seasoned it with salt and pepper and italian seasoning. I also used 2 cans of chicken soup since we don't like mushrooms. I added green beans to the mix for some color and to get my BF to eat some veggies! ha ha Next time I'll try and season the sauce a little more. It just seemed bland.

Very good!! My kids loved it heated up the next day too! Instead of the crackers on top, I used cubed stuffing and drizzled that with melted butter. A keeper.

This was really yummy!!! I used the whole bag of noodles though so I added a third can of cream of chicken soup and then also sprinkled the top with garlic powder!

This was very good and I make it often. I did make only small additions such as sauteed onion, some frozen peas in the noodles while they were at the last few minutes of cooking and skipped the crackers and butter as my kids think they are gross on other recipies. At the very end I sprinkled some shredded cheese and baked untill it melted. Overall a good staple to have on hand.

This is a great base for a chicken noodle casserole. Needs some peas or something green (added 1/2 cup of frozen peas). Browned the chicken with seasonings vs boiling it. Omitted cream of chicken and instead used half a can of cream of mushroom and half a can of cream of onion. Added a cup of shredded colby mix cheese with 1/2 a cup of half and half into the entire mixture. Topped with more shredded cheese and italian bread crumbs (too lazy to make the butter/cracker mixture although I'm sure it's worth it!)Came out SO yummy. And left enough for leftovers for me and the hubby. Thank you Dawne! :-)

My family loves this recipe and requests it often. My husband doesn't like cheese and it's hard to find a casserole recipe that doesn't require cheese. Thank you!

This may have been just okay if I hadn't added the butter cracker topping. It had such a wierd rich taste, I just wanted to throw up. I threw the whole thing out.

I also changed this recipe around because poaching chicken is icky! I cubed my chicken and seasoned it with garlic powder, cayenne, salt and pepper, browned it in olive oil and then added about 1/2 cup each finely diced celery, onion, green pepper, also added 1 cup cliced mushrooms and 2 finely minced garlic cloves, le that all brown and then hit it with a bit of chicken stock to get all of the flavor off of the bottom of the pan. mixed all of the other ingrediants together and added 3 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley and a cup of fresh baby spinach, put in casserole dish, added 2 cips colby jack shredded cheese and then the cracker mixture, much flavor!

Very good! I did the following as others suggested: I boiled the chicken in chicken broth. Then removed chicken and boiled noodles, diced onion & frozen peas and carrots in the broth. I made this recipe to yield 9 servings and it filled up a 9x13 dish to the brim. It fed 6 adults (all of which had more than one helping) with leftovers to spare. In the cream mixture I added some celery salt, garlic powder, onion powder, salt & pepper too. I also put in about 2 TBSP of minced garlic in the mixture. I served this with a salad & Texas toast. Everyone in my family loved this recipe. Caught my mom eating it cold that night! Its great cold too as of course I had to have a few nibbles!

This turned out nice. I halved the recipe for just me and my husband. I also litened it by using fat free cream of mushroom soup (didn't need the second can due to reduced servings - might try the fat free cream of chicken next time for flavor change). I also used lite sour cream as well as 1/4 C Italian breadcrumbs instead of the buttery flavored crackers, and therefore only 2 Tbsp butter. I WOULD suggest diluting the soup with perhaps 1/4 C milk or even chicken broth as the mixture seemed a bit on the thick side and I would like it thinner by just a tad. Otherwise, excellent recipe which I will be making again as I keep all these things on hand!

this is my first review!! my mom would make this casserole without a recipe...just threw whatever she had in the dish! -i cooked a diced onion in some baconfat over low heat (to carmalize them). -i added some minced garlic, chopped mushrooms, and fresh spinach to the onions to sweat them a bit, and added it to my noodle/chicken mixture -i also used buttermilk instead of cream or skim milk (along w/ the soup and sour cream) this one will be a winner! :)
