GREAT recipe for chicken livers slow cooked in a cream sauce with a hint of white wine. I got this one from my ex-wife's recipe box. It's a hit with almost all that try it! It should be cooked in a slow-cooker, but you might try a Dutch oven.

I wanted something like the traditional beef stroganoff and threw this one together, writing down everything as I went so I wouldn't forget. I served with noodles, but rice would be great, too. Asparagus for a vegetable and a green or fruit salad is great! Nutmeg seems to be the secret ingredient of many Stroganoff recipes.

Spicy and succulent, this dish features a chili and red wine vinaigrette gravy, plus a 'magic' ingredient, brandy, that really makes the meal.

In this traditional Palestinian recipe, chicken livers are cooked in olive oil with bell peppers, onions and garlic and seasoned with allspice, sumac and soy. A sprinkle of lemon juice can be substituted for the sumac, a Middle Eastern seasoning with a tart, lemony taste.

I concocted this recipe for those evenings when I'm running late and everyone is hungry. Even my finicky 4-year-old asks for seconds. For a no-fuss beef Stroganoff, substitute leftover steak.--Phyllis Brittenham, Garwin, Iowa

My mom and I invented this recipe with EASE in mind, it's a one dish complete meal. Best of all, even my veggie hating children LOVE it! It can be made with sweet peas, or with spinach.... both are delish.

I created this recipe when I was 15 years old, which explains the name. It's actually chicken in a lemon sauce over egg noodles. Zingy, tasty, and very different! Everyone loves it. Serve with warm bread and butter.
