Great recipe and very easy. I put oil and ghee (4tbsp) in first and then added all the spices and onion. Next the chicken and then after a couple of mins I added the diced tomatoes. I followed the recipes time and cover on and off directions after that. It turned out really well and we ate it with rice, bread and some yogurt on the side.

I adore this dish, but similar to other reviewers- have made slight variations in my ingredient list. I decreased the turmeric and coriander by 1 tspn each, and add in 1 tspn of garam masala and 1 tspn of paprika. It's so nice that naan is available at most grocery stores now- it's perfect for sopping up the sauce!

This was a good dish. As recommended by another reviewer, I added one red and one green bell pepper, which added a nice flavor. I also skipped the ghee (I don't have the wherewithal to clarify butter at the end of the day). I did not closely adhere to the recommended spice doses but I did add them at the times recommended in the recipe. I think the flavor was nice but it wasn't out of this world.

I followed the recipe closely except for using chunks of boneless chicken breast (added near the end so they would be tender and not overcooked) and adding about a cup of fresh wax beans. It was very good and we all enjoyed it, although not quite so much as some of the other indian/pakistani chicken recipes we've tried from this site. Even my 2 and 4 year olds ate it though, so that makes it a hit in our book! Thanks for sharing.

Excellent recipe, and I have all those spices on hand. To clarify your own butter, just melt, chill and remove solid butter, discarding the liquid left behind. Kind of a shortcut, but it works.

Very good! I did not cook the chicken the additional 10 minutes uncovered for two reasons. First, the chicken didn't need it and second, I didn't want to reduce the sauce because I wanted it for the rice, and there was plenty this way. Yum. Very tasty and good! Thanks!

I cooked this for my friend from India and she raved over it. She did say there is a little too much Tumeric though. She suggested cutting the Tumeric in half.

Great flavor! My whole family loved it. I used a little less salt per some reviews and I simmered it covered the whole time. My family likes a lot of sauce for rice and bread. Turned out perfect. Will make again.

Very good recipe. I was looking for jalfrezi chicken recipe, I found it here and this dish was delicious. I used only breasts and I omitted ghee. 5 stars and I will be making this again.

I love this dish. I made it for dinner and even my seven and four year olds ate it. I love all kinds of spices and this dish has many, but none are overpowering. I put the chicken over a mixture of half brown rice and 1/2 barley for added fiber. If you like dishes with lots of different flavors, you will love this!

Alia, What a wonderful recipe. I have a co-worker from Pakistan and I love her cooking. I wanted to pay her back for all the wonderful dishes she has made me and I made this for her family. She was surprised that a I made it. Thank you for your recipe. I wouldn't change a thing. I even visited a local Pakistan market to get the authentic spices. It does make a big difference.

I loved this! I make a lot of Indian dishes that take quite awhile to prepare, but this was super easy to make in just a few minutes after work. I will definitely make this frequently and it is a great recipe to add veggies or easily make vegetarian with tofu, paneer, or chickpeas. Yummy!

This is a wonderful dish. The only thing I do is add green beans to this dish. I serve with brown rice. Delish.

I am cooking this right now and it smells wonderful!! I don't know how authentic it is, but the sauce tastes great!! I didn't have all the seasonings so I added curry and sofrito for the cilantro and it tastes good!!!

This was really delicious and easy to make- I didn't have ghee- because I live in the middle of no where, and I didn't feel like making any, so I just used butter...yeah, I know, a little lame. After reading other peoples reviews, I realized that I best put a tablespoon of sambal in it and an extra tablespoon of chili powder. It turned out fantastically! I will certainly make this again. Woot! Woot!

I LOVE this recipe!! Of course I made a few adjustments. I add 2 zucchinis and a red bell pepper when you add the can of tomatoes. I also stir in 2 heaping tablespoons of curry paste and some coconut milk.

Great recipe that I'll use (with some revisions) again. I felt it was too salty so I removed the salt. Also, the recipe barely served our family of four so I've doubled it for next time. I also cut the spices in half as we are spice wimps and we loved it!!
