What a *great*, and easy, recipe!
I made this for supper last night along with "Sour Cream Mashed Potatoes". The only thing I noticed is that this recipe is so rich and flavorful, that it over powered the taste of the mashed potatoes (which were very good though!). The best thing is this was made with ingredients that I have on hand all the time.
I used only 1/4th of the onion soup mix since my husband (and therefore *me* ) have to watch the salt intake. It was still very flavorful and I believe could be made without the onion soup mix all together if you bumped up the other spices.
I browned the chicken in a deep cast iron casserole pan so all I had to do was toss the whole thing in the oven when the time came. One dish clean up!
I will make this one again, my family really liked it!
