We halved the sour cream and salsa and it was still quite good.

I followed advise and used corn tortillas, rotel tomatoes and black beans, and cooked the chicken in southwest seasoning, this was Awesome! Giving 5 stars to EKERR19 for the improvements, and 4 to the original submitter. Definately in the dinner rotation for Mexican night!

I love this recipe!! It's definitely something that I will make for years to come. I followed the advice of other reviewers and used corn tortillas, instead of flour ones. I also use a can of rotel in addittion to the salsa. I only use a 8 oz. container of sour cream, but I stick with the chilli beans because I like the spicy flavor they add. Made this way, it's spicy but not hot. Also, I made it with cream of chicken the first time, but I didn't have any today so I used cream of celery. In about 15 minutes, I'll know if it makes a difference which one you use! And I agree with another revewier who said that this is soooo much better the next day!!

I would definitely make this again! I used canned chicken instead of chicken breasts and black beans instead of chili beans and the results were wonderful. The bottom layer of tortillas was a little gummy, but all together fine. I used multi-grain tortillas.

Very good. Keep in mind, this makes a huge amount! It fed my family for 3 days. Next time I will half the recipe and add a can of green chilis. I topped with jalepenos and used black beans instead of chili beans. Served with with spanish rice.

This is very good as is but for one exception. I give this 4 stars because of the tortillas. They have a gross consistency after baking. The casserole would be perfect if you left out the toritillas. I know it is supposed to be a casserole but it would be great to use as a filling to make actual enchiladas.

AWESOME! I halved the sour cream, used cream of mushroom soup, and fake chicken sauteed with taco seasoning to make it vegetarian. I also halved the cheese, used black beans instead of chili, and added a can of corn. Ok, that's a lot of changes, but it was terrific! *UPDATE* I was out of black beans so I used refried beans and it was pretty good. I liked the black beans better, but my husband liked the refried beans.

The taste is very good, but what would make this a 5 star recipe is to layer the salsa separately from the sour cream and soup mixture in the casserole. The weird pink color from mixing them together is not very appetizing. I ended up throwing some of it away which is a shame because it tasted fine.

Well, this was a big, sloppy mess of a casserole. A big, sloppy DELICIOUS mess. This really had great flavor and was a major comfort food kind of dish. The only things I changed were to toss the shredded chicken in a little bit of taco seasoning to add a little extra flavor and I used a mixture of shredded cheddar and sweet pepper cheeses. Thanks :)

The family loved this very simple dish. Today (4-12-09) was the first day making the dish and it will be made many, many, more times. The only modification that was made was substituting black beans instead of the recipes original chili beans. The next time we may add more cheese. Excellent dish :)

This ended up very good. I took up of the suggested changes by another user and it turned out pretty good. The only thing I would change next time is that I will use tortilla chips or doritos instead of tortillas to add a little chunch to the dish.

Super easy to make, taste pretty good actually, but low points on presentation. It just doesn't look too appetizing. I just don't like the idea of mixing all the canned food together to come up a dish, not healthy at all. Flour tortilla works fine for me, there is no need to substitute corn tortilla. I might make it again for a large crowd.
