This was wonderful! I did the increased cooking temp, as mentioned in previous ratings, and added the pinch of butter on top of each roll. I also prepared the sauce made with the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and lemon juice (as mentioned in a previous review). My husband loved it! I used the Boar's head Maple Honey Glazed ham from Publix, sliced thick. I had no problems rolling the chicken up after pounding it. Thanks for sharing this simple but delightful recipe!

This was very good! I didn't bother rolling mine up, just placed my thawed chicken breasts in a 9x13 glass baking dish, topped with slices of ham, then of Swiss, then a sprinkling of bread crumbs, then the pat of butter everyone talks about. The result is that the butter melts and keeps your chicken from drying out from the bottom up. It does make a rather revolting looking juice in the bottom of the pan but that can be drained away before anyone notices! I'm sure it's excellent rolled up, I just couldn't find my meat mallet so didn't bother. I did reduce my cooking time to 340 and baked for 40 minutes straight through. We didn't need a side sauce--it was plenty juicy as it was (from the butter)! Thanks for a quick, easy, tasty recipe!

This was extremely delicious. I added 2 additional slices of ham on each chicken breast and one additional slice of swiss cheese on each as well. I also slathered egg batter on the entirety of both chicken breasts before adding the breadcrumbs. I chose not to add the additional slice of cheese on the top since I already added more inside both breasts.

Yum! I did follow some others and dipped the rolled chicken in egg, then bread crumbs. I also put some slices of butter on the bottom of the pan, which made it crispy. Everyone loved it! Kids especially!

I thought this was just ok, even though my family liked it. I thought it was too dry. I made the sauce people added to their reviews here, and I thought that was pretty gross. I wanted a sauce without a lot of heavy cream etc. I guess you have to use the cream to get a good tasting sauce. I don't think I'd make this again.

My family absolutely raved over this dish. I changed the recipe a tad. I rolled two thin slices of black forest ham and a slice of Swiss cheese into each piece of chicken. Instead of breadcrumbs (I had none), I used a mixture of crushed buttery crackers and panko crumbs, mixed with some garlic powder and cayenne pepper. The panko made the coating especially crispy, and I think I prefer that to the usual breadcrumb coating, which I have used before. I will make this recipe again with my alterations! Love it!

I loved the simplicity of this recipe because I was able to make it my own. I used pepperjack cheese and seasoned the bread crumbs and chicken. It was easy and delicious. My husband and son loved how juicy it was. I baked at 400 for 25 minutes. I am definitley going to be making this again.

Great recipe! I like it as is, and with the egg wash and drizzle of butter, added Italian spices and paprika to regular breadcrumbs. Fantastic both ways! Remember if you are using cooked ham or deli sliced ham it's very salty and probably any extra salt is unnecessary. Thanks a bunch! It's in my recipe box as a regular now. Very tasty. I like the simplicity of this recipe as compared to others I have seen. Good for even weeknight dinners.

If you completely change the ingredients and recipe, then my advice is to write your own. This recipe is good as is. Obviously there are many ways to alter a recipe according to your taste; I did but I don't share because I don't care to hear any of your numerous adjustments.

I LOVED that this recipe was so dang simple! The best part is, you can tweak it to fit your tastes :) I seasoned the chicken with salt, lemon pepper, and some garlic powder.. whatever I had at hand. Will certainly make time and time again!

absolutely LOVE this recipe. my husband and i eat a lot of chicken meals involving chicken breasts, so this is perfect. a suggestion if you can't find large chicken breasts: smaller ones work fine if you butterfly them and then pound them thin.

Very tasty. I used string cheese in the middle and it was even better. The difficult part was securing the chicken so the ingredients wouldn't fall out.

This recipe tasted pretty good. Everyone loved it in my family. It was also very easy for a chicken cordon bleu recipe, but I think it would have tasted better with the hollandaise sauce that traditionally goes with it.

This is a good recipe. Definitely needs more cheese added. Instead of just sprinkling bread crumbs, I melted some butter and after I had rolled up the chicken, I rolled it in the butter and then coated the entire chicken with bread crumbs. Also to give the bread crumbs some extra flavor, I add some garlic salt, parsley and italian seasoning. It was delicious!!!
