The sauce is divine. Used red bellpepper instead of mushrooms, and they soaked up that sauce perfectly with a smooth blend of flavor. You could add any veggie and it will be awesome probably. Substituted dried basil for the thyme. Don't need to flour the chicken, but I did end up adding a little flour to the sauce at the end a thickener. The butter at the end also adds such a special touch. Wish I had made some kind of cheesy mashed potatoes with this, as it just seems like a perfect match.

My husband dubbed this the best chicken he'd ever had. I have to agree with him. This chicken is extemely moist.

Very nice flavor and the chicken cooked beautifully. I cut down on the garlic and added the leftover flour to the sauce for thickness. If you like this, you'll LOVE the chicken marsala submitted by Lisa.

This is a tasty dish, but there's way too much balsamic vinegar. I don't think I'll be making it again, but thanks for sharing.

I liked this a lot. It was easy and very flavorful. I followed the recipe exactly except I used fresh thyme instead of dried. I will make this again.

This was very good!! It wasn't anything special and easy to whip up, which is nice for families. I wouldn't make it for a special evening, however. I also would have added more balsamic... not sure what some people were complaining about on that. Overall, I would make it again for a quick dinner.

My family loves this recipe. We make it quite regularly. Today I had to make it without the chicken broth - didn't realize I was all out and it just wasn't the same. Follow the recipe and the taste is excellent!

This is a great recipe. I used chicken strips and cut them in half to make them thinner. I used canned mushrooms instead of fresh, thats all I had. There is a very strong vinegar taste and i used less than the amount called for because thats all I had. To thicken the sauce I added some corn starch to the rest of the can of chicken broth and added that to the sauce. Very easy.

Amazing!!! No one could stop eating this. I didn't have any mushrooms, bay leaves, or garlic cloves and I didn't miss them. In place of the garlic cloves I used garlic powder. I doubled the sauce and added a little brown sugar and a squirt of ketchup to it and it was wonderful. I omitted the flour and added cornstarch after taking the chicken out. We're having the leftover chicken over our salad tonight.

Good flavor. Next time I will pound out my breasts and use some cornstarch to thicken the sauce so my sides aren't swimming.

I must have done something wrong because I found the chicken dry and the sauce a bit disappointing. That said, everyone ate it without complaints.

Delicious! Used fewer mushrooms with regret... did use baby bella, though. Next time will cut chicken after initial sautee. Used penne pasta. Husband and I both loved this recipe. Even kids liked the flavor of the chicken. May use white balsamic next time, it does have a very dark color with regular balsamic. Also, doubled the sauce portion.

This was a good recipe. With the exception of adding sliced onions I didn't change a thing. I would have liked a little more depth of flavor overall.
