Have been making this for years and it always turns out wonderful. We call it puppy chow, but whatever you know it by, it will always please your sweet tooth.

Very tasty. Just how I remember having them as a kid. Only word of advice, use a very large bowl to mix everything together. The Chex cereal is somewhat fragile and you want it to look nice and have whole pieces. If you have a very large bowl to mix it all together, you have a lesser chance of crushing the cereal peices.

I followed the recipe exactly as written and they were perfect! Everyone raved about the mix. It wasn't nearly as messy to make as I was afraid it would be!

Hershey's is coming out with new products soon including muddy buddies. I got paid to test their new chocolate products that are the old homestyle candies American families made (including smores) and had to give my opinion in look, taste, packing, etc. I had never had muddy buddies before but when we got to that one it was sooo good I had to come home and find the recipe. I doubled the recipe and it was eaten in less than a week. I put one bag of muddy buddies in the freezer and I would eat them right out of the freezer. It didn't lose its crunch. I now know that Hershey's has done a geat job because it tasted the same. The problem with making it is that you really can't stop eating them. Trust me, I gained a few pounds because of these muddy buddies. I can't wait til Hershey's starts selling this candy so I can just buy one.

These are so good and easy to make. I put them in the fridge for Thanksgiving and forgot about them and my kids found them a couple of weeks after and they were still good.

These are a hit every time I make them. They take a little bit of patience.. I suggest mixing half of the cereal with half of the sugar at a time. They are addictive!

Great and easy. I cut down the butter, next time I may cut it out totally really don't think you need the extra fat. Will be making again.
