these were pretty tasty- I used extra crunchy peanut butter and dark chocolate chips and they were a hit. I found them a little on the greasy side and they cooked slightly faster for me (around 9 minutes). But overall good!

This is a good cookie. I liked the texture, mine turned out chewy in the center, crisp on the edges. I did not use the corn syrup. My oven liked baking them for 13 minutes. May make them again.

I've never rated anything under a four on this site, but I have to say the title of this cookie is very misleading. A). It isn't chewy, it's very cake-like and B). It doesn't taste like peanut butter at all. I think that maybe people's definition of a "chewy" cookie must vary, because like one reviewer said, they should rise slightly while cooking and then sink flat while cooling. Slightly underdone in the middle. These maintained their spoonful shape, and even rose a little highter than that. The result was a somewhat dry, cake like cookie that didn't have much peanut butter taste to it. Next time I will search for just a basic peanut butter cookie recipe and add chocolate chips to it.

Mmmm! Was delicious! I didn't have much time, so I put them in a "9 by "13 inch pan and cut them into bars! Great recipes...very appealing.

These cookies were good, but I couldn't taste the peanut butter. Next time I think I'll put in either a cup of peanut butter or a cup of peanut butter chips to enhance the flavor. Overall they were good though.

These are one of the most delicious cookies I've had. They remained chewy and moist for days and were yummy with ice cream.

This has become one of my standby, make a quadruple batch of cookies. I usually go heavier on the peanut butter though. Sometimes I leave out the chocolate chips altogether and place 1/2 a peanut in center of each cookie for plain peanut butter cookie, or, leave out chips and add cocoa to the dry ingredients. (they become penguin or reindeer poops at Christmas time.)Who doesn't love chocolate and peanut butter. Just don't flatten them. If you happen to have a 1 inch cookie scoop use it, such a time saver.

I am not a big cookie fan but I was looking for something to make with my 2 nephews when I can across this recipe. I am soooooo glad I did, the cookies turned out great. I changed a little of the recipe so I did not make the original, but I think they turned out great! I already ate 5! Not a good recipe if you are watching what you eat. I used 3/4 cup of crunchy peanut butter and instead of 2 cups of chocolate chips I added 1 cup of chocolate chip and 1 cup of peanut butter chips! Next time I will use less sugar as they are very sweet cookies. I will definitely make this again...only when there are more kids around to eat them!

These cookies are awesome! After trying MANY different recipes over the years, this is a for sure winner to go into my recipe box. Despite what I read from another reviewer, they DO taste plenty peanut buttery. I believe that perhaps the person who complained about this recipe must have not done it right. Try these cookies!!!

I followed the recipe exactly as written and they turned out exactly like the poster said they would! They are chewy and I was pleasantly surprised to see that they did not spread out while baking. These are really good - nice strong peanut butter flavor - and super easy too. Thanks for the recipe!

This is going in my cookie recipe box. These remind me of those cookies you buy in the little packages of two. Yum! I did not use the chocolate chips because I figured they would be sweet enough without. I was glad that I didn't, I think the chocolate would have been just too much. Also please check your cookies at around 8 or 9 minutes, leaving them in for 10 or more just seems to be too much. This recipe makes an awesome cookie tho!! :-)

These cookies were good but not good enough to be “addicting”! Something was just a little off. I would still make them again but maybe modify the ingredients like someone else suggested.

I increased the peanut butter by another 1/2 cup. They turned out moist and perfect but I would have like a little more of a peanut butter flavor. I read some of the reviews saying they cooked quickly on the outside and were not completely done on the inside. This will be true if you don't flatten your cookie a bit. There may be chocolate but this is after all still a peanut butter cookie recipe and we don't just press our peanut butter cookies with forks so they look pretty. Any peanut butter cookie recipe would yield the same result if you simply left it in a pile. I rolled them into balls then flattened the cookie in the palm of my hand (I did not use the quarter cup). I will make these again and reduce the flour by 1/2 cup and keep the peanut butter at 1 cup to see if it can get a flavor boost. I am impressed with how soft these stayed.

I doubled this recipe and dropped the cookies by spoonfuls. I baked some of the dough and froze the rest. A few weeks later, I let the dough thaw and baked it, and it was just as good. A great recipe!

I made this recipe as written. The cookie is more cake like and not the texture of a peanut butter cookie. I also, as another reviewer stated, did not taste the peanut butter very much. It's a good cookie, but not a great one. It's far closer to a cake like chocolate chip cookie.

These cookies where hard as rocks the next morning. Nothing chewy about them and I cooked them for 12 min just like the recipe said. I doubled the peanut butter and still pretty bland tasting. I will continue my search for a really good peanut butter chocolate chip cookie. These just weren't it.
