If there ever was an ideal recipe to use my Pampered Chef measure all cup, this is it. It's the best tool for measuring the sticky ingredients(I also add PB) as well as the dry. I only have to wash one cup rather than several.

I thought they were excellent and really tasted like a granola bar. Mine were a bit crumbly but I thought that might be due to the chocolate chips; I used full-size chips instead of the mini chips. I may try some of the recommendations of other reviewers but I'm definitely going to make this recipe again!

Very good - better than the boxed kind because these actually fill you up!! Halved the butter and used natural peanut butter. Used less flour and added 1/4 cup wheat germ. Half white and half wheat flour.

These were good! The only reason I gave these 4 stars is because they had a really strong honey flavor. Still good though. I put half of the mixture in a 13x9" pan, then a layer of raspberry-peach jam, and then the rest of the oatmeal mixture. I made it for a snack for my daughter's preschool, they really liked it!

I adapted the recipe by cutting raisins to a half cup and adding a half cup of chocolate chips. I avoided the sticky bar problem by using a silicone sbaking liner. I cut the bars before putting them in the oven and then compacted the bars when they were still warm. This is a good recipe.

Made as recipe was written and it wasn't granola bars but granola cereal. Not what was wanted. Tasted ok for cereal but I was trying to make bars.

Ok, I read some of the mixed reviews of these, but I went ahead and made them exactly as written anyway. They're awesome! Chewy and delicious! Here's what I did that might make them more successful for others: Mixed oats, flour, baking soda, brown sugar, and chocolate chips together. Cut in the butter really well. Measured out honey then added the vanilla to the honey, and poured in dry mixture. Blended REALLY well.. for a couple minutes at least until there wasn't a dry crumb to be seen. Poured into pan, spread out, and patted it down FIRMLY. Baked for only 18 minutes (until only the edges were slightly browned). Once out of the oven, pressed it into the pan again and let it sit in the pan until completely cool (30 minutes to an hour I think). I used a pizza cutter and cut into bars and put them in the fridge to cool even more. When I took them out of the pan, they weren't crumbly at all. If you undermix, overbake, and/or cut these too soon - you'll have problems.

Excellent. Nothing short of a Mouthgasim. The only change I made was that I added dried cherrys, I should warn you its easy to leave them in too long, the first time I made them I waited untill they were golden brown and found them crunchy, but if you pull them out while still soft they will be much chewyer.

My variation for this wonnderful and easy recipe was to substitute 1 C of puffed rice for the rolled oats( added a bit of crunch). Used wheat flour instead of all purpose flour, used 2/3 C honey and skipped the brown sugar and replaced the choc chips with raisins, slivered almonds and 2 tbsp of peanut butterand flax seeds each. I followed the suggestion of other reviewers by pressing the mixture down mid way through baking and after it was done so was able to get nice and firm bars. These are highly addictive!Thank you for sharing a wonderful healthy and easy to make recipe!

I made the recipe as is, and alas, it was crumbly (although very, very good!) Next time, I will use some of the suggestions from the reviewers (add applesauce or peanut butter, increase the honey, pack it down, etc.) Nevertheless, my picky, picky eater kids still ate the crumbly result over vanilla fat free yogurt without complaint as a snack and asked for seconds. Definitely a keeper recipe.

Very nice! I like that these work out to be about .15c per bar! So much better to make your own, no artificial ingredients or preservatives.

Very tasty! I did leave out the sugar and increased the honey. The only thing I had on hand were butterscotch morsels but it turned out good. I noticed today they make sugar-free honey & semi-sweet morsels. I wonder how that would taste since my husband is a diabetic? We shall see!

These are excellent! I took the advice of others and doubled the honey. My kids eat these up as soon as I am done getting them out of the pan. My husband loves them too. I think this is great. I have made them 3 times varying the add in ingredients. (Dried cranberries, apples, raisins, choc chips, or pecans, etc...)

This recipe is very sweet. Definitely cut back on the sugar as the honey adds a lot of sweetness on its own. A great starter recipe on granola bars. Thank you.

This is delicious! I followed the advice of other reviewers and used 1c. butter, 1/2c. Honey, 1/2c. Applesauce. Omit the brown sugar! They are way sweet with the chocolate chips already! Instead of just choc. chips, I used 2c. of "additives". Which included choc. chips, shredded coconut, and craisans. Definitely follow the directions on how to cut them or they may crumble.

Very good recipe. Altered it a bit, used ww flour like other's had, melted 1/2c no salt butter with 1/3c peanut butter, 3/4c honey and 1/4c corn syrup 1/2tsp salt and 3/4tsp cinnamon, omitted the sugar. Instead of 4c of oats I added 1cup and also a cup each of special K, corn flakes and natures path organic flax granola. Also added 1/3c each of dried cranberries, coconut, chopped pecans, mini choco.chips, reeses chips and 3/4c of mini marshmallow. Pressed it into a rimmed cookie sheet (instead of 9x13 pan) and halfway through baking pressed it down like one other review had said and then pressed it again after baking was complete, came out awesome!
