Chewy Date Nut Bars
SUBMITTED BY:
Linda Hutmacher
"You'll need just six ingredients, including a convenient boxed cake mix, to bake up these chewy bars chock-full of walnuts and dates. They are my husband's favorite snack, and he loves to take them to work. I often whip up a batch for bake sales or to share with my co-workers at our local car dealership."

The recipe was delicious! However, I did not use the dates. At first I had no idea what dates were, until I bought and tasted them... they taste awful! So i doubled the amount of walnuts instead. I think maybe it was too much nuts. Next time I use 3 cups of walnuts.
