This is a keeper! Great cookie! My first batch ended up a little flat but the rest were fine. I would recommend reading the reviews and adding a little more flour and baking soda. And don't overmix. I used milk chocolate chips since that's what I had on hand.

I made these cookies with the recommended changes and they were great just out of the oven (after cooling)! I would add more chocolate chips though, because there was plenty of crunch with the oatmeal and the walnuts, but it should be balanced out with gooey chocolate. Nothing wrong with that, right? :)

This recipe yielded a lovely cookie. I used half the salt, don't use an entire teaspoon of salt. A wonderful, chewy cookie. We will definitely make this one again!!

Halved the recipe and excluded the walnuts and chocolate chips because I didn't have them and seriously...this cookie was insanely delicious. They werent too flat either. Next time I will make the whole amount and bring them in to work because this deliciousness is too good not to share.

Perfect cookie! I had heath candy pieces and threw them in for extra crunch along with chocolate chips and walnuts. Absolutely delicious!!!!

amazing recipe, i followed the advice to up the flour to 1/2 cup more the baking soda by 1/2 tblsp and to cut the salt down to 1/2 tsp. excellent and super chewy! i love them!

I bake cookies a lot for my husband, he's a chocolate chip cookie fanatic. I tried these to change it up a bit. FANTASTIC. I halved the salt, added 1/2 more oats and used dark chocolate instead of semi-sweet and whole wheat flour instead of white flour. My attempt at making them healthier. I always refrigerate my cookie dough for at least a few hours (and up to 24). This keeps the cookies from getting too flat. Yum! I've made a half recipe of these too. Worked out great and kept me from over snacking.

I omitted the white sugar, and switched 1/4 cup of flour for 1/4 cup of ground flax. I think I just had a mouth-gasm. Thank you for this recipe!
