I love this recipe my kids just eat them up. One time I added 1/4 cup of sour cream and they were even softer. They still turned out really good and they were gone within 3 days.

Definitely not "chewy". They're a sandy/crumbly texture after cooling. Good flavor but miles away from being chewy. The pudding mix does add a hint of a boxed flavor - they're much more like Keebler's choc chips from the box. Not one to keep as I like a chewy home-made flavor.

I got this exact recipe from a friend a few years back and now it's the only chocolate chip cookie recipe I use! I never used walnuts. My husband loves these with milk chocolate chips but they are also amazing with dark chocolate chips. I find they bake better for me if I spoon out 1 inch rounds. After these cookies bake for 10 min I take them out and tap down the centers with my two fingers so they are a little flatter and let them cool on the cookie tray for another minute or two. I think it makes the cookies look more like they came right from a bakery! Everyone always asks for the recipe!

These cookies were amazing. I've always added pudding to my cake mixes, but never thought to add it to my cookie dough. They weren't chewy like the name suggests. They were more cake-like. I imagine based on the mixed reviews that this is possibly due to altitude & humidity. Down here in the south they come out extremely fluffy. They don't get hard though, and were easy for my baby to eat =) ( I sometimes substitute bleached flour w/ whole wheat flour, and use organic raw turbinado sugar/organic dark chocolate (nondairy),and a dash of wheat germ or benefiber when trying to make it more healthy =)

Great recipe, made exactly as it says. Didn't use the whole bag of choc chips though because it did seem like a lot.

These are truly the best chocolate chip cookies. I have made them a few times and i cant get enough of them. They are always chewy, even after a few days.

Easy to make and delicious. My whole family loved them and I loved that they stayed soft after they cooled.
