I have been looking for a specific cherry cake for a while and have been having no luck with it. Finally, I found this cake and decided to give it a try. Since it was not yet reviewed, I was a bit unsure of it, but gave the recipe a try anyway. After one bite, this cake had won me over. The cherry filling is just perfect in the center, and I love the cake itself, so elengant and tasty. Just remember that this cake has a tendency to burn easily. Also, don't take the easy way out and use cherry pie filling instead of doing the cherry filling yourself. A friend who also used this recipe complained of an ordinary and bland taste when she substituted canned filling for the fresh ingredients.
