I'd give these between a 3 & 4. The muffins were a little dry & tasteless, even tho I added almond extract to the batter. I got 12 regular size muffins out of this.

The kids really enjoyed these. I used butter in place of the vegetable oil and added a little vanilla extract. My oldest son helped me make these and we really had a blast together. This recipe made 12 large muffins, not 48. Kids ate eight already! Quite a nice combination together and very kid friendly. This might be cute to make for my kids' class next year for Valentine's Day!

I love maraschino cherries and chocolate so how could I resist this recipe. I left out the nuts because my DD doesn't like them and added a splash of vanilla, but other than that follwed the recipe exactly. They weren't overly sweet which I enjoyed. I will make them again.

These were quite tasty. I butchered the recipe because I didn't have maraschino cherries (used fresh), didn't have pecans (wished I did), and also omitted the 1/2 cup of sugar in the batter (health reasons). Even with all the modifications, the muffin turned out very good. Next time I PROMISE to make as is but I just wanted to use up my leftover cherries.

This recipe makes 12 full size muffins. Good texture, taste, and pretty pink glaze. I omitted the nuts because of personal preference and used slightly more cherries and chips.

These turned out to be addictive little devils. I made the first 24 mini-muffins almost exactly as written (only, omitted nuts and added an extra splash of milk to the batter). For round two, I added a tsp of Almond Extract to the batter. After trying both ways, you definitely need to add the extract. It makes such a difference. TOTAL YIELD: 39 Mini-Muffins, not 48.
