Cherry Cheese Delight
SUBMITTED BY:
Kathy Branch
"'You couldn't ask for anything more than a nutty crust topped with a smooth cream cheese mixture and sweet cherries,' assures Kathy Branch of West Palm Beach, Florida. Since this dessert is made the night before, you don't have to worry about last-minute fuss."

I made this absolutely delicious recipe for my family. Since my mother has trouble eating nuts I substituted the crust with a graham cracker crust and it was a huge success....thanks so much for a recipe which will be used over and over throughout the years.

Delicious! My 10-year old son made these today for his entire school & everyone loved it. He's decided to enter it in a "Cherry Dessert Contest" held in our town this month.

We loved this--I halved the recipe but put it in a pan larger than I should have, so the crust was too thin and consequently stuck to the bottom & was hard to lift out of the pan (I may have baked a little too long too). In other words, it wasn't pretty, but it tasted great! I loved the brown sugar/praline-type crust. Very easy and delicious.

I've used a similar recipe before and it is always a big hit. I usually substitute the above-mentioned crust for individual-serving graham cracker crusts when taking these to parties. Always a requested item!

I thought the filling on this was very bland and the UNtastiest Cherry Delight i've ever had. I followed directions to the T, but had to keep adding powdered sugar to it, because it was not at all sweet and lacked any real flavor. After finally adding over 1 cup of powdered sugar and some almond extract for additional flavor, it was much improved. But as this recipe calls for, it's very lackluster. I'd give a 1 star, but I never tried the crust, so i'm giving credit for it since it does look good. I just can't have nuts, so have to stick with graham cracker crusts. I'll definately stick with my old recipe.

This was really good....the nutty crust was a nice change from the usual graham cracker crust. The pecans added a lot of flavor to it so don't skip it unless you need to (allerges, etc.) thanks for sharing
