I thought these were GREAT! I made it in a 10x15 jelly roll pan, and I think that the next time I will definitely use two 8x8 pans, because this left a little mess in my oven. I made a half pan with blueberry pie filling and one half pan of strawberry pie filling, and they both turned out nicely.

Didn't change a thing and was so good. Just the right level of sweetness and very easy. I think it would be really good with whipped cream or icecream. Different pie fillings could be used but maybe not always almond extract. I am thinking blueberry and maybe lemon? Strawberry and orange?

Excellent flavor and easy! After making the dough, I realized that I only had one can of cherry pie filling so I made it half with cherry and half with blueberry pie filling. Both are excellent!

So good and so easy!! Dividing into 2 8x8's was perfect!! Mine took more like 45 minutes perhaps b/c I was baking them in those disposable pans.

Rich and delicious! Made to recipe and found that it seemed more like a coffee cake or dessert than a bar. Who cares! It tastes great! Need to go work out now:)

Delicious recipe, could almost be served as a sweet breakfast coffee cake. Even the boyfriend who does not like cherries enjoyed these bars.

Yummy and easy! I cut the recipe in half because I only had one can of cherries. Then I baked it in an 8 x 8 pan and it took more like 45 minutes or so. When putting the batter in the bottom of the pan, it helped to wet my fingers and then press it into the pan.

This looked more like a cake than bars when I was done. They are very thick so just know one batch makes a lot since they are so thick.

I have been making these delicious bars for a couple of years now. My sons request these often and my hubby, who doesn't care much for cherries, loves these bars. A definite keeper.

These are amazing! Very simple to make and so tasty. That little bit of almond extract is perfect. I also used 2-8x8 pans, just because I don't have a 15x10. Turned out great - even better the next day!

Very simple with tasty results. I used two 8x8 pans instead of one large pan, allowing me to use one can of filling per pan. Be creative with your filling choices...cherry worked out well but so does blueberry and apple. A wonderful and easy comfort food for breakfast.
