Delicious! I had a half can of cherry pie filling that I needed to use, so I decided to half the recipe. I didn't even miss the half can of filling that I was short! Although I'm sure that it will be even more delicious with the full amount of filling. I baked in a 9x9 inch brownie pan. I also was out of almond extract (horrors!) so I used lemon extract in place of it... was very good. Thanks for the easy recipe! I'm excited to try this with blueberry filling as well!

Quick, pretty, & tasty. I think that they are plenty sweet & maybe I'd cut back just a little on the sugar. I don't think this recipe would serve 60 people unless your friends & family have a lot more restraint than mine! I'd say this is more like 24-40 servings.

They were good, but the dough part was not quite what I expected. I will increase the sugar the next time I make. And I think I will add flavors to the cherry pie filling; I'm just not that fond of the canned pie mix. But it certainly was a decent dessert that was pretty easy, I gotta give it that.

I halved the recipe and baked in a 9x13 pan. They were fantastic, I think that they would be great for a brunch. It turned out like a cherry danish. I think I will make a full recipe next time and use cherry on one side and apple or blueberry on the other.

This is about the same as my Grandmother's Dina Kuchen recipe. It was a childhood favorite. It is also very good using an apple pie filling.

WONDERFUL! I used 2 square pans, 1 for cherry and 1 for blueberry. Loved the flavor, easy to make, but didn't slice like bars for me so I cut into small squares and put into cupcake liners and served on tray! They were gobbled up. Glaze was excellent addition. Good the next day, just pop into micro for 10 sec. and had with coffee. Great base recipe with many variations available. Thanks!

I loved these. I gave them away at Christmas and I think everyone else loved them too. Next time I am going to try them with apple pie filling (the cubed up small apples) and a little cinnamon in the glaze. The recipe is easy, too, ecxept for spreading the dough because it is very sticky.

These are delicious! I brought them to a Christmas party last night and only one piece was left over. Very easy to prepare, also. I used only one can of cherry filling--I thought two would be too much, plus this cut down on some of the sugar. Next time I will try blueberries which I am sure will be delicious too!

This was delicious! I used pure almond extract which gave it a really nice flavour and also added about 1/4 cup sliced almonds before baking which tasted great with the glaze.

I thought these were GREAT! I made it in a 10x15 jelly roll pan, and I think that the next time I will definitely use two 8x8 pans, because this left a little mess in my oven. I made a half pan with blueberry pie filling and one half pan of strawberry pie filling, and they both turned out nicely.

Didn't change a thing and was so good. Just the right level of sweetness and very easy. I think it would be really good with whipped cream or icecream. Different pie fillings could be used but maybe not always almond extract. I am thinking blueberry and maybe lemon? Strawberry and orange?

Yummy and easy! I cut the recipe in half because I only had one can of cherries. Then I baked it in an 8 x 8 pan and it took more like 45 minutes or so. When putting the batter in the bottom of the pan, it helped to wet my fingers and then press it into the pan.
