Made this tonight for my Mom's b-day. Turned out delicious!! The only thing I added was sugar free cheesecake pudding to the layers. Excellent!

Delicious and easy to prepare, even when baking the angel food cake from a mix. I used blueberry pie filling and cherry jello. You can't go wrong with a trifle. They always look so nice.

I made this last night and it received mixed reviews. That's why I gave only 4*. I made a few changes to the original recipe. I added a layer of prepared (but not refrigerated) vanilla sugar free fat-free pudding (mixed with 1/4 tsp. almond extract and 3 packets of Splenda brand sweetener) between the cherry syrup and the pie filling (to which I also added 1/4 tsp. almond extract). I bet this would be good with either fresh lightly sweetened fruit or somed toasted chopped nuts. Other kinds of fruit pie filling and gelatin combos would probably work well. Anyway thanks a lot for the inspiration and the recipe.

I made this dessert for Easter dinner, last year. It is absolutely delicious and impossible to screw up. Great to make in advance.

This recipe is similar to one I have been making for a few years now. The ingredients are easy to go "light" with and is appreciated by those who are diabetic or dieting. I usually skip the geletain and add 2 tbsp Almond Extract to the cherry pie filling and top with pre-packaged slivered almonds. Be sure to serve in a trifle bowl for beautiful presentation. So good and so easy it will become a regular in your house too!

It was very light and tasty maybe a bit too much cherry. Next time I will add pudding to break up all the cherry flavor.

Excellent dessert. We used light cherry filling, sugar free gelatin, and fat free cool whip and it was phenomenal! Thanks

This was the best trifle I ever had. A lot of my family is diabetic so this recipe was perfect for a Saturday night dinner.

This dessert was so easy to make and everyone liked it so much, I am getting requests to make it again and again. It is a light ending to a filling meal.
