I went a little less on the spices when I made this on the 4th of July and everyone loved it. Personally, I'd like it better with a little less skin on the potatoes. Very good!

Good recipe, I think I will cut the salt in half next time and try one less tbs. of butter. I enjoyed having a new side dish. Thanks!

Very good. My husband and I both enjoyed these potatoes. This is a recipe that can easily be adjusted to suit individual tastes. I am looking forward to frying the leftovers tonight. I think the cheesy goodness will be almost as good as the original dish. Thank you for submitting this recipe.

Good and quick. I used half the butter per reviews and used powdered ranch mix, next time i will use the liquid because the ranch flavor wasn't noticeable but still very good.

good recipe to change things up. stirred the potatoes a couple times while cooking. i halved the recipe so only used 2 tbsp. of butter - 3 tbsp. would've been fine cos potatoes started sticking to the pan at the end of cooking time - not sure if there's any way to really avoid this - just have to catch it before it happens i guess. will make again! thanks!!

Good recipe-everyone in the family likes it. However, I only use enough cheese and ranch dressing to make the dish just moist, and decrease the calories!

Excellent - I made it with no butter (just no-stick spray on the pan), and it was plenty rich enough. The kids proclaimed them the best potatoes they've ever had.

I brought this dish to a BBQ this weekend and it was a big hit. I made this recipe the day before and divided into two dishes instead of one large one. I put one dish in the microwave to warm and served. The dish was empty in no time. I did make a few changes per other reviewers. I used red potatoes, seasoning salt, mexican cheese mix, added sauteed onion, bacon and garlic powder. I used "I Can't Believe It's Butter", sprayed the potatoes and mixed everything together. Used one can of French Fried Onions on the top and cooked for 45 mins, covered. Uncovered and cooked an additional 5 mins. Yummy!

This was quite good! I did not add the butter, and used light ranch and 2% milk cheese. I will definitely make this again!

This was a pretty good recipe. I had to scale my recipe way down. I cubed 5-6 red potatoes, they easily cooked in 1 hour. I had to leave, then an hour later came back, threw in some ranch (not too much, maybe 1/4 cup at most) grated cheddar cheese over it, and tossed in some bacon bits. In the oven for about 10-15 mins and it was ready to go. I really liked it, my hubby thought it was "okay" but I thought the taste was quite good. I would gladly take this to a potluck or serve it to others. I served this with the Slow Cooker Barbecue Ribs from this site.

These were a good brunch dish. I also reduced the amount of butter to 2-3 Tablespoons- more than enough.

Mu husband loved these. Said they were his new favorite thing I make. I'm not a big fan of Ranch but I thought they were really good too! I did cut the butter a bit.

These were to die for! I actually only added 3 lbs of potatoes rather than 4 and added the same amount of everything else. I think these are my new favorite side!

We didn't care for this recipe at all. If you like pouring ranch dressing over a baked potato, then this is the recipe for you - otherwise skip it.

Yum! We thought these were great. I followed the recipe as written, other than scaling it all the way back to 2 servings and omitting the salt. Really tasty, I will make these again! Thanks :)
