Great way to use leftover Easter dinner. I used shredded cheddar and about 1/2 cup half & half (had it in the fridge and had no use for it). It made it a little more creamy -- worked for us. Also added in some leftover peas and carrots. Quick, easy and tasty!

Very good. I did cook the onions in the butter before adding the cheese. I also used 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese instead of the cheese suggested and then sprinkled shredded cheddar cheese on the top before baking. I also used cream of celery soup. all these changes are to my family's taste-

Used instant mashed potatoes. Was way to salty but otherwise OK.

This was a hit! I would say that it takes longer than 10 mins to prep though with the making the mashed potatoes, the chopping/dicing, etc. but it totallly worth it. I actually added a little more ham and cheese, because it what I had and this would feed at least 6 people. Definitely making this again.

This is delicious! My entire family loves it, especially my stepson. I used leftover pork rather than ham and added some mixed vegetables. This would be a good recipe for just about any leftover meat.

Like others have said, this is really good! I made one change, I used shredded cheddar cheese instead of Velveeta cheese.

My mom made this with leftovers all the time. We all loved it and now I make it for my family too. This is a great, hearty, and easy dinner.

Really good but so salty it became a little too much. Next time I will have to try it with reduced sodium cream of mushroom soup and see if that helps.

I made this today with the little bit of ham and mashed potatoes I had left over from Easter. I didn't really expect much - I was just trying to use up leftovers. This knocked my socks off! It was great - my husband and all my children including the picky three-year-old loved it too. Will be for sure making this again and not just to use up leftovers! Thank you Esther for sharing.

I was totally amazed at how good this recipe was since I am not a fan of ham. Very easy to throw together and since I bought a good quality ham from the local deli the flavor really came through. I added about 2 cups ham so I have a lot of leftovers. This recipe gave me a thought of adding some frozen mixed veg to the casserole, double the soup and cheese. Yummy!! Thanks for sharing this one.
