I tasted this before baking it and it was creamy and delicious. Baking it dried it out. If I make it again I won't bake it at all or add more milk, cheese, and butter before baking.

Substituted ziti for noodles only because I didn't have as many noodles and I thought I had! Very creamy, cheesy good!

This is excellent. My family loves it and request it frequently. I do recommend using jar garlic and shredded cheeses such as mexican, monterey jack, mozzarella, and mild cheddar. I also used Italian bread crumbs instead of plain but like I said "we love it".

I changed this recipe a lot! I used real garlic and onions, real cheddar cheese, and added veggies like zucchini, celery and carrots. It turned out great! A nice variation on macaroni and cheese; real comfort food. The way mine turned out would be four stars, but because I altered the original recipe so much, I'm only giving it three stars.

This turned out very good. Next time I will add a little more milk and cheese so it becomes creamier. Other than that it is a very good base recipe. I might try it with cooked chicken and mixed veggies for a complete meal.

Love this recipe! It is really creamy and a kid favorite. I usually make it for Easter as a side dish, everyone loves it and it's easy to do. You can prepare everything the night before, put it in the fridge, and just add the breadcrumbs and bake the next morning. I've also switched out the breadcrumbs for crushed up buttery round crackers and that tastes great as well!

Made this for tonight's dinner when I realized I didn't have elbow mac for mac and cheese. Thought this would come out more like a custard mac and cheese, but was pleasantly surprised when it was more on the creamy side. Did a few shakes of pepper.
