These are good, but a little rich for my tastes. Next time, I may cut the creamy ingredients by 20% and use diced potatoes instead. I was surprised it was so creamy despite the use of real cheese!

I use this recipie but omit the butter and put it in a 9x13 dish. After it is baked and cooled, I cut it in 12 pieces and freeze individually. That way when someone wants some for breakfast, I just take out how many I need and fry in a little oil.

not bad, but not nearly as good as other cheesy hash brown recipes that have butter cracker toppings. This recipe is a good simple recipe for a dinner side, but I wouldn't serve for a party.

I would give it 3.5 starts if I could. This was definitely on the bland side unless you add more salt. I did change the servings to 12 and it filled a 9x11 pan...enough to feed our family of nine with leftovers. It was ok.

This was delicious! I used some onion powder instead of onion (I was feeling a little lazy) and a bit more salt and pepper than was called for. Also used chicken broth instead of soup. It turned out wonderful! Absolute comfort food.
