Cheesy Hash Brown Bake
SUBMITTED BY:
Karen Burns
"This recipe was so popular at the morning meetings of our Mothers of Preschoolers group that we published it in our newsletter. It's a great dish for busy moms because it can be prepared ahead of time. It's perfect for brunches or to serve on Christmas morning. It's creamy, comforting and tasty.--Karen Burns, Chandler, Texas"

This was a good recipe. The whole family loved it! I did change the soups, I put in one can of cream of potato and one can of cream of celery. I also only added 1 cup of sour cream. I added one finely diced onion. It was very good! Very cheesy and yummy! Great comfort food! Next time I will add ham or sausage and make it for breakfast! Thanks!!

We served this for Christmas brunch and it was a clear favorite. I was so glad it didn't take very long to prepare the night before -- that way I could spend more time enjoying the holiday with my daughters.

For additional flavor, I use one can of cream of potato soup and one can of cream of celery, plus a chopped onion in the mixture. It is delicious every time.

Everyone just loved this. We agreed, however, that it was a bit soupy and next time, we'll cut the soup in half and perhaps add a dash of pepper or Tabasco.

I loved this dish. It was like a loaded bake potato. At the party it was gone before everyone was even at the house. My husband wants me to make it tomorrow at dinner. Since it is a new recipe I will make it again but it probably isn't the most healty dish but like other reviewers suggested there are ways to make it less bad for you. I will make this many more times for sure.

I have made this several times & it's always a winner! I follow the recipe just as is, unless I am out of the parmsean. It is still good without it.

Ok recipe. I think I would try a different soup besides the cream of potato.

These potatoes were way to strong with parmesan cheese to be served at breakfast. I would consider serving it again, but only as an evening meal side dish.
