Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Mix seasoning, hot water, butter and pasta in 13x9x2-inch baking dish. Top with chicken.
  3. Pour baking sauce over chicken and pasta. Cover tightly with foil.
  4. Bake 20 minutes. Stir pasta around edge of dish. Sprinkle chicken with crumb topping. Bake, uncovered, 10 minutes or until done. Stir pasta before serving.

  • Tip: To prepare in skillet: Use same ingredients as oven version, but mix seasoning, hot water, butter and pasta in large skillet. Top with chicken. Pour baking sauce over chicken and pasta. Heat to a boil. Cover and cook over low heat 20 minutes or until chicken is done. Stir pasta around edge of skillet. Sprinkle chicken with crumb topping. Simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes or until pasta is done. Stir pasta before serving.
  • To prepare in microwave: Use same ingredients as oven version, but mix seasoning, hot water, butter and pasta in 3-quart microwavable casserole. Top with chicken in a single layer. Pour baking sauce over chicken and pasta. Cover. Microwave on HIGH 20 minutes or until chicken is done. Let stand 5 minutes in microwave oven. Sprinkle chicken with crumb topping. Stir pasta before serving.

Good flavor, but 20 minutes did not cook the chicken thoroughly. I baked it an additional 40 minutes, and by that time the pasta was soggy, but came out tasting ok, just lacked presentation.
