Quick Cheeseburger Pie

Pie dough takes the place of the bun in this nifty recipe. First, the dough is patted into the pie tin. The savory filling is a mix of ground beef, onion, garlic, cheese, milk, pickle juice, and a bit of flour. The pie is then baked in a hot oven and more cheese is sprinkled over the top as it bakes.

Making this pie is almost like simply making spaghetti sauce and pouring it into an unbaked pie shell. Then it 's topped with a yummy cheese, egg, milk and Worcestershire sauce mixture, covered with foil and baked. Serve each slice of pie with a spoonful of tomato cocktail sauce.

Gather the family round with this quick and easy shepherd's pie recipe. The meat mixture can be made ahead and frozen. You can also substitute instant potatoes for the real thing if you're in a hurry. I especially love to use white cheddar in this recipe!

Steak and Kidney Pie II

Cubes of beef kidney and steak are roasted with onions, potatoes and seasonings until tender. Flour is added and the meat is cooked a bit longer until all the juices have thickened with the flour. This savory mixture is turned into a 3-quart casserole, topped with a round of pastry and baked in the oven for 30 minutes.
