A great recipe, the kids all loved it. Second time I used sausage instead of hamburger, left out the onion and celery, and served it biscuit style with sausage patties and pan gravy. A huge hit at my house.

These have potential, so perhaps 2.5 stars. As written, they are rather bland. I would double or triple the salt and pepper. It was also difficult to taste the cheese -- half a cup more would probably be better. I wouldn't eat these plain, but they were pretty good served with Secret Burger Sauce. Despite everything, I would make these again after tweaking the recipe.

These were super tasty and really easy. I halved this and it still made a bunch. I didn't have green peppers so I added mushrooms. The dh loved these and he's been very picky lately. I will add these to my roatation! Thanks for great weeknight meal!

This is certainly interesting, but good. My husband was perplexed at just the idea of it. He said it was "okay. A fun experience." I served it with the Secret Burger Sauce from this site, at the suggestion of other viewers. After absolutely burning the first few black, I found that frying over medium-low worked best for me and my stove. This recipe further confirmed that I am terrible at making pancakes, but on the plus side I got one that looked like Texas and one that looked like a puppy. So if you are looking for something interesting to make that tastes pretty good, give it a shot. But I don't think it will make it into my rotation.

This was incredibly good. I was a bit skeptical, but after reading the other reviews, decided to go for it. My husband was a bit leery at first, and although I don't think it's his new favorite, he did end up liking it. My 20-month-old daughter even liked it, which is the true test. I served it with Secret Burger Sauce and brussels sprouts. Very good. Looking forward to leftovers today, since the recipe makes a big batch for a family of three, and they are quite filling.

These were tasty. I didn't have celery or bell pepper, so I added some chopped carrots. Served with the "Secret Burger Sauce" was yummy. My 2 year old liked it better eaten plain rather than cut up on his plate (he wouldn't touch it cut up). We'll make this again. Tastes much better hot than cool. **update** Since I made these the first time, well, I've made them again, the 2nd time in two weeks - that NEVER happens. Turns out we like the cold just fine, not really room temp but out of the fridge with some burger sauce. I even doubled the recipe this time. The older boys took cheeseburger pancake "sandwiches" for lunch today, it's just two pancakes with some burger sauce in the middle, I had one with some lettuce in between. A tip when you mix the ground beef mixture in, just fold it in, you don't want to over mix the batter, and it does cook longer than a regular pancake would because it's thicker. Overall, this will be a regular at our table.

This recipe is very good! I served them with Secret Burger Sauce from this site. They are extremely filling, so we ended up with leftovers even though we stuffed ourselves. That's okay, though! I'll freeze them and they'll be available for quick lunches or some night when I don't feel like cooking!

I would have to say when I first read this recipe, I thought that it was a novel idea. With the addition of the pancake batter to the meat mixture they came out to be very bland.
