This was pretty good. I wanted to make it easier so instead of rolling, I stuffed the loaf the cheese. There was not much cheese left intact after the baking process. Next time I will probably just add the cheese in and change the recipe a bit to add even more flavor. It was moist though, and not too greasy.

This was excellent. I did alter the ingredients a little. I added cracker crumbs instead of bread crumbs and also some green pepper. I only used 2 1/2 cups cheese and it turned out great. Did put bacon on top. I also baked it in a loaf pan and it turned out perfect. Will make again and again.

I decided to make my first meatloaf last night and chose this recipe. I rather enjoyed it being that meatloaf is not one of my favorites. I did modify it slightly. I mixed in the grated cheese instead of layering and rolling it. I used onion soup mix instead of an onion. Then baked in a loaf pan. It turned out great and my 6 year old ate her entire plate (which is rare!). Although nex time I would omit the extra salt as the onion soup mix is quite salty itself. Thanks for a delicious dinner.

This was really good--even with the ground deer I used instead of hamburger. We're not big meatloaf eaters but the cheese helped. Thanks for sharing.

I didn't have wax paper so instead I dusted a cutting board with flour to flatten the meat on-I had absolutely no trouble rolling the meat. I also pinched off the ends to prevent cheese oozing. I used Kraft american cheese slices and sliced red onion for the filling. I braised the roll lightly with ketchup. Yummmmmm!!

This was great! Haven't made meatloaf in a long time. I made modifications, instead of using minced onion, I used a package of beefy onion soup mix. And instead of rolling jelly roll style, I just mixed the cheese into the meat mixture. Served this with Mashed potato casserole also from this website. Boyfriend had seconds and is not one for meatloaf and he liked this alot! Looking forward to leftovers!

Had this tonight and won raves all around. I added fried onions to the middle and bacon on top but everyone had ideas for future combinations. Thanks for sharing this true winner.

I just made these tonight, they turned out great.I changed it slighty by using half a package of lipton dry onion soup instead of raw onions. It really added to the flavor.I made them into indivdual mini meatloafs and the chesse mostly stayed inside.I'll be making these again!

We liked this meatloaf! Still haven't found a way to keep all the cheese in but using the wait time, sugggested in previous reviews, seemed to help. I'll try a few of the variations to jazz it up a bit next time. I put a bit of brown sugar, ketchup and bacon on top before baking. Thanks for a great recipe :)

this was excellent, the only change I made was I used the bag of 3 cheese Italian and also added a layer of Spinach. It gave it a real nice taste.

I'm not a meatloaf fan, but this one is good. The cheese makes it very moist. I usually have to get my baster out to remove lots of grease that collects around the edges of the loaf during cooking, though. I've never bothered with the jelly roll method - I just mix the cheese all in. Next time I'll try the suggested variation of swiss cheese and mushroom.

I am not a meatloaf fan, but this recipe seemed unique and different, and I thought it might change my mind. It didn't. I'm sure it's a great meatloaf recipe, I'm just not a fan of meatloaf in the first place, and this tasted like meatloaf with cheese in it. I was expecting more of a burger taste. Thanks for giving me something new to try, though!

Very yummy meatloaf recipe. The gooey cheese is really a great surprise too. I added a little barbeque sauce to the top of mine also for some extra flavor.

This was very easy to make. I made individual loaves and instead of rolling, I made a "well" down the middle of a loaf, added the shredded cheese, then covered with more beef mixture. It turned out somewhat greasy with all the fat, but not too worry -- I just placed them on a wire rack over some napkins to drain off the excess grease. Overall it tasted, well...like a cheeseburger! Thanks for sharing!

Great meatloaf. Event he kids ate it. I added an extra egg, some onion soup mix and used american cheese instead of cheddar. Cut back on the salt if using the onion soup. It was a bit too much for me. I look forward to making this again.
