This was fabulous! We used homemade dough, my husband had just made our bread for the week, so I had him save me a loaf's worth of dough. When I browned the ground beef I added a couple of garlic cloves along with the onion. Instead of using ketchup with the meat I used tomato sauce. It was so delicious, all of us, even my picky toddler and 6 and 4 year olds ate it, which is saying a lot! Great recipe, definitely a new family favorite!

I make this often, kids love it. Make it even easier by making filling as directed and use a can of phillsbury french bread dough rolled out instead of dough recipe.

This turned out surprisingly well. I was lazy and didn't feel like chopping onions, so I sprinkled a GENEROUS amount of onion powder on the ground beef after I cooked it. **No idea how much I actually used, but I COVERED the ground beef with the onion powder, then added the Ketchup and mixed. My kids LOVED it and decided it tasted like White Castles (which we LOVE but is a very special treat with 4 kids and the closest one being 100 miles away!) Now, when we have that craving for a 'slider' I can throw this together in 45 minutes and satisfy my herd!!! My kids have named this a "Slider Roll" :)

If you decide to not used the onion, cut down on the ketchup. Maybe some onion would have been nice. I'll try it again, my pickiest kid liked it!

The best tip I have for this super recipe, is to roll out the dough on the cookie sheet you are baking it on, If rolled fairly thinly it will not be soggy in the middle, I am going to try a vegetarian version with Quorn mince

I'd give this 3 1/2 stars if I could. Not quite a 3, not quite a 4. The flavor of the biscuit was good. Make sure to really flour the surface well, and make the ground meat into tiny pieces. Mine stuck to the counter quite a bit, and had some holes. It was a huge hit with my 3 and 4 year olds!

I have made this several times, and it's always a big hit at my house. I usually serve it with the Classic Mac and Cheese found on this site, and a veggie or green salad. This is good comfort food, and leftovers are great heated up the next day too. Simple to prepare...another keeper for sure!

My husband like it. It's pretty handy for him to bring for lunch and it taste good too. I don't have a problem about the middle of the loaf. It's all cooked. I have to do it again for him.

This was ok. Kind of doughy in the middle. Probably won't make this again.
