Super easy cheese sauce. I did add a bit of salt and some Mrs. Dash to give it a little bit of something extra. I also cut my cauliflower into florets for quicker cooking and more cheese area!

Not sure if I should do 5 stars, or review, since I had no thyme, but I added minced fresh garlic to butter and this was awesome! My 3 year old was asking for more spoonfuls of it as I was finishing it. Oh I used dried parsley also. I think you could add many different spices to this. I forgot paprika too!

The sauce was overpowered by the thyme. I had hoped it would be creamier. I probably won't make this again.

I think this is a proper cheese sauce base for vegetables however the seasonings are lacking a bit. Definitely avoid the thyme. That little bit of seasoning can throw of the sauce. I think the next time I make this sauce I might add cayenne or a taco seasoning to give it a more pleasant taste though I am sure it is fine on its own. Thank you for sharing, it is the base to our sauces.

A very good cheesy sauce. I omitted the paprika (didn't have any)and used old cheddar cheese. We loved it! A keeper.

Fantastic! I know a lot of you don't like when people change recipes and rate them, but I personally don't think there is anything wrong with that (as long as you give GOOD review :) I think it's nice to see what people like to do with different recipes. I kind of turned this into an Italian cheese sauce. I substituted basil for the thyme, and I used mozzarella cheese, since we were out of cheddar. We served this with noodles for our meatless Friday meal. Thank you, making again soon!

Very good. Steamed a medium head of cauliflower in a handy steamer bag for 4 mins. Did not use thyme (not a huge fan) or paprika and there was still excellent flavor. Makes a nice presentation as well.

I was looking for a cheese sauce to use on broccoli tonight and seeing all the positive reviews, made this one. Oops. Too much flour, too little cheese. I managed to save it after a fashion by doubling the cheese, but I will still be looking.

I was disappointed with this recipe. It was pretty tasteless, I really didn't like the taste of the thyme, and the texture was not good either. I've come to the conclusion that the only way to make a good tasting cheese sauce is to use a recipe which calls for a processed cheese (like Velveeta). The processed cheese gives it a nice smooth texture, and a nice cheesy flavor.
