Cheese Ball II

"I got this recipe from my sister-in-law. Make this one day in advance and serve with whole wheat crackers."

About  scaling  and  conversions

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese
  • 1 (6 ounce) can pitted black olives, drained and chopped
  • 1 (4.5 ounce) can mushrooms, drained and chopped
  • 1 bunch green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 (4 ounce) jar dried beef, chopped
  • 3 teaspoons monosodium glutamate (MSG)
  • 2 cups chopped pecans

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix together the cream cheese, olives, mushrooms, green onions, dried beef and monosodium glutamate.
  2. Form into a ball and roll in the pecans. Refrigerate over night before serving.

I have used this recipe for years. Like to take it to parties, gathers at work, church and family get togethers. Everyone likes it and someone always ask for a copy of the recipe. Thanks Julie, you gave me this recipe.

This cheese ball is great IF you really LOVE black olives. We do not, so I made it the 2nd time with about 1/4 the bl. olives originally called for and it was great! I will leave the olives out all together next time.
