I made this trying to get my husband off pasta and potatoes all the time. What a dissapointment! It was just bland. Sorry Allrecipes, just wasn't good. But I still love all your other recipes. Thanks anyway!

Definitely mild tasting. Tried to jazz it up with a couple of tablespoons of onion soup mix and some frozen brocolli but it still was a little bland. Not bad though. Just not amazing.

It was okay, tasted bland to me. Kids wouldn't eat it, but they're crazy.

This is a pretty good dish - not my usual 4-star rating, but I didn't want to give it a 3 (meaning "average" or "just okay" in my book). I made it exactly as written, except that the baking time was a lot longer for me (since I live at a high elevation). Even at 70(!) minutes, the center was still a bit wet when I did the knife test, but I stopped at that point. This has a nice consistency, maybe like a soufflé or quiche (I'm not sure about the exact definitions of those). I can't say that I noticed the garlic or Worcestershire, but the onion was nice, and the parsley flavor surprisingly so. And for me, the cheese was the best part. Some previous reviewers have called this "bland". I might say that it's kind of mildly flavored, but it's supposed to be a side dish after all, and I think it can serve very nicely in that role.

Made this recipe yesterday for a family party and everyone liked it. I used brown rice instead of white and I doubled the recipe (except for the cheese, I kept it the same using 2 cups of cheddar). Kids and adults liked it. I would make it again.

Yuck. I am giving it a two because my husband ate three bites instead of one before he said, it's okay, but please don't make it again.

Not sure how to save this one. It is bland. I added some grilled chicken pieces to the top and 1/2 tsp of garlic salt to the portions. It was slightly better than plain rice, but not much.

This is a great way to use up leftover rice! My husband and children all liked it. Next time I might try a different flavour in place of parsley to keep it exciting!

This was great! I made it a little healthier by using 75% less fat cheddar, skim milk and cooking spray instead of butter. It was still awesome.

It was a little bland. It's ok when you mix it with something that has a flavorful sauce.. My kids wouldnt even eat it and they only eat rice!!!
