These were pretty good, but I think next time I make them, I would mix the cheese and bacon throughout the potatoes, rather than just layering it on top.

I have made these potatoes for the last two Thanksgivings and they are always a hit. This year I took them to a Thanksgiving potluck (where there were plenty of other potato dishes) and came home with an empty dish!

I was a little disappointed in this one. It was a little dry. Needs something more

I have always been a pretty good cook but for some reason mashed potatoes have just become the bane of my existance, cant cook them to save my life. I decided to try once more this Thanksgiving. I followed this recipe to the letter and they were awesome, without a doubt the best mashed potatoes I have ever managed to make.

I made this for a potluck dinner party last weekend, and it was gone in about 5 minutes. I made it with more bacon and i added an egg into the potatoes right before i was done whipping them... and then whipped at a high speed until they are twice the size. i also folded in some bacon, cheese, and chives into the potatoes before garnishing. VERY YUMMY!

These were fantastic but I must say I like my party potatoes recipe better because it also calls for a brick or cream cheese. Don't skip on the bacon....even if you use the packaged bacon pieces!

This was good. I added a little heavy cream and the potato was still a little dry. I would also add more salt next time. Overall still good.

I took the lazy route with this one and used Shredded cheddar that already had pieces of bacon in it. The only other change I made was to use light sour cream. I will be using this recipe often.

So, these are pretty much like the filling for my twice baked potatoes. A little different, but not much. They're good...although we like ours a little creamier than these ended up being. I ended up adding a little milk. It was nothing wrong with the recipe, just a textural thing with us. There is a little blandness, but it's easily remedied. I added a little more bacon, cheese, and green onion, a little garlic powder, and extra salt and pepper. You don't have to bake these after mixing either, if you're in a hurry or don't want to turn on the stove...although they are tastier if you can!

These were really good, but not great. I think they were too dense, so I will add a splash of milk next time.

Potato, cheddar and bacon? Yummy... Didn't have sour cream, so just used butter, but still turned out great.

I made this recipe except I didn't add the bacon or chives but it still tasted very good. It was gone almost immediately after it was cooked.

These are SO good! I made them with red potatoes, and left the peels on. Also used pancetta instead of bacon... What a treat!

I am pregnant and I have been craving for these restaurant style potatoes for two weeks but didn't want to pay for it. I followed the recipe except sub green onions instead of chives. Everybody approved incl. 4-yr. son.

This was pretty good ... I always use butter and sour cream in my mashed potatoes but the cheese and bacon was a nice addition! I mixed it all up and sprinkled more cheese on top with chives. Yummy!

Excellent potatoes. I used low fat sour cream and added some of the cheese right in with the potatoes - other than that followed recipe exactly and they were appreciated by all. This is a keeper.
