I made these this weekend with few alterations. I used brown sugar instead of white because that's all I had. I did not have any parsley. I added an entire package of fresh chives (probably double the amount called for). These were great, and well liked by every family member, which is unusual. They were super easy and quick. I especially liked that I did not need to use a mixer to make the dough, and I used scissors for the chives, so there was no cutting board mess either.

I've tried lots of savory muffin recipes, this one is really good. I like that you don't use a mix to make it too. The muffins were not too dry as in some savories. I added a Tb of dried onions, if you don't have chives around, snip the green part of scallions into small pieces. If made as mini-muffins, they would be a great appetizer at a wine party. I see lots of great additions too; dry smoked salmon (with dill cream cheese spread), some cayenne for spicy ones, it's endless. Thanks for the nice recipe.

They were really tasty. Although, I will have to make them again as I did not have chives.

These were delicious! I only had pepper jack so I used that instead of cheddar. We ate these with chili for our lunch today. Wonderful recipe Donna!
